Okay, one more clue.  They all had songs with a common word in the title.  This one is kind of a tough one.

Still nothing.  Okay.  All artists that did songs with the word "Frosty" in the title that were NOT christmas songs.

Albert Collins:  Frosty
Bessie Smith:  Frosty Morning Blues
Jessica Lurie:  Frosty Cricket
Fran May:  Frosty Moon

Shall I go again with a bit easier quartet?

Geez.

Princess SummerFall WinterSpring is from Howdy Doody.
Mr. Goodfellow is a character from Poe's "Thou Art the Man"
-- but he's also the next door neighbor from the Shari Lewis Show.
Mr. Green Jeans is from Captain Kangaroo.
Professor Andy is the synthesizer announcer on The Bozo Show.

So I think it's characters from children's television.

Well, this has got to be a trick question--

They're all the same. They are simply NAMED different for WHERE they occur.
