cobras?

Nope.  Only Naja and Ophiophagus are cobras.  Dendroaspis and Bungarus are not cobras.

Actually I do believe they all are
1.) Venomous snakes
2.) Cannabalistic in aspect.

Only Ophiophagus and Bungarus are eaters of other snakes.  Dendroaspis definitely won't do it (arboreals aren't built for that sort of thing and they're picky eaters), and Naja aren't really known for it either though some of them are voracious enough to be pretty indiscriminate in their eating habits.  These four have something much simpler in common.

Elf - the other white meat.  ;)

They are fish, specifically cichlids, that you might find in an aquarium.

How did I live before Google?

Thius one was sort of answered but not to the poster's satisfaction. I'm gonna guess (with help from a certain search engine that shall remain nameless) that they're snakes whose venom is toxic enough to kill a human.

They're all made with gelatin.

And I'm so bummed - no one got my previous one, thought Bita was close.

  • Montgomery Burns
  • Tony Stark
  • Lara Croft
  • Lucius Malfoy

Yes, they're all rich...  and...?

~Holly, who's sitting on her next list of 4 just a little while longer...

They are all former state capitals. Vandalia and Kaskakia were capitals of Illinois; Vallejo and Benicia were capitals of California.

Okay, I think we've earned a break for something simple.

Green
Blue
Red
Yellow

What do these colors have in common?

Ok, one more shot.

They are all rich, live in manors and they've all been characters in video games.

Kudos to Bita for taking another stab at Holly's quartet. I believe that leaves us with two open ones.

Zammer:

Chow Chow

Basenji
Afghan Hound

(He's looking for something other than "dogs.")

Nope, but thanks for trying again.  They're all on Forbes' 2006 List of the 15 Richest Fictional Characters - a list they put out every year.

As for dcnovice's list:

Green
Blue
Red
Yellow   (What do these colors have in common?)

They're the four colors affected in people with color blindness - is that what you were going for?

That would technically be true, as would "they are all venomous snakes", but it's still not the right answer.

I'll give it - they are all Elapidae, front fanged (proteroglyphic) elapids.  It's a specific niche as venomous snakies go.  Among the snakes with fangs, there's vipers, elapids and opistoglyphic (rear fanged) colubrids, and those four (true cobras of the genus Naja, mambas, king cobras and kraits) are all elapids.
