JerseyKrissi72 -> Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:20:07 PM)

This is a very embarassing concern but since you all are talking about just about anything/ everything I will bring it up in hopes to get an answer...First, let me start out by saying that I have very sensitive skin and prone to prickly rash on my backside, back and legs in the summer months or when i sweat alot..I got a very raw rash in the crack of my butt (sighs and blushes)..I am a very neat person and shower twice a day so I know it's not a hygeine issue...I was wondering, if I sweat alot, and after sex if I'm very wet and don't get up right away to clean up..could the moisture from laying there cause that rash? It's just very red and raw..it hurts[:(]

MmakeMme -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:22:11 PM)

This will sound like a cheeky (pardon the pun) answer, but use an antiperspirant on that area. It really works.

KatyLied -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:24:26 PM)

But wait until the rash is cleared.
Seriously, see a doctor.  You may have eczema or who knows what.

marieToo -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:26:12 PM)

My guess is that it could be from not cleaning up after sex.  Especially if you are all sorts of sweaty...add to that all those various nasty sexual scums that flow between two people during sexual encounters.

Try washing up right away and using some powder with a cornstarch base or something to absorb moisture.

BrazilianMoves -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:28:06 PM)

After showering, sex, or any other activity that causes you to sweat
especially in that area- dry well- pat dont rub as you are irritating the skin more.
Pat the area dry and apply *cornstarch* pure and unscented...
Anti-perspirants will block sweat glands which may cause more irritation...

Just a pennies worth...

By the way- if you are still having a burning and raw itch or anything of that nature- go to your Dr, and request a
cream which will assist along with the cornstarch...

Hope you feel better.

In service-
girl

having a big ass don't help (laughs). thankyou for the advice...I put some Desitin diaper rash ointment on it and it soothed it alot..when i remove that I will put some cornstarch on it and see how it goes, if it gets better, great..if not i'll go to the doc...

mnottertail -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:35:26 PM)

I could go on and on and on, but I suspect you sleep in the wetspot.  Fluids exchanges are acid and alkalai and you should not be letting that stuff fester on you if you guys are kinda making a better than average ruckus....find a way to sexcessfully  wipe everyone with babywipes after.

JerseyKrissi72 -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:36:25 PM)

I tend to pass out after sex ....then i get up like four hours later and clean up, shower, etc....i guess the damage is done by that point...(puts babywipes by my bedside now)

marieToo -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:39:40 PM)

Safest bet is to just stay away from this whole 'sex' thing to begin with.

JerseyKrissi72 -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:41:26 PM)

not likely that i'll stay away from sex so i'll have to stock up on babywipes and make sure to get my ass up after sex.....me? give up sex? you must be kidding[8D]

mnottertail -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 4:44:48 PM)

Then you are going to be doing the Krusty the Clown routine at supermarket openings, all your livelong days, a dirty job, but sombodies gotta do it.

I don't get laid all that much but give it up? I like to think I'll get it again sometime in the future.....maybe not the near future...I thought our fluids were natural, didn't think they could irritate our skin

justheather -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 6:03:24 PM)

What Id do/think if it were my bum rash:
-Could be yeast. People get yeast infections in the groin area and inside skin folds all the time. You could put an anti-fungal on it, like the ones marketed for vaginal yeast infections, or a yeast-killing powder like Nystatin.
-I wouldnt put anti-perspirant anywhere on my body, and most certainly not my bum crack.
-If it's irritated you can use aloe vera.
-Try a topical 1% hydrocortisone cream if it itches and then use the cornstarch someone else mentioned.
Im not talking about baby powder, but real honest to goodness cornstarch you buy in the baking aisle.
Im partial to clabber girl myself.

JerseyKrissi72 -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 6:38:18 PM)

thankyou everyone for the good advice...I know its not a yeast infection as I am too familiar with them (sighs)..it's a bad rash and since I put the diaper rash ointment on it feels much better...i will put some cornstarch on in the morning after a shower

CandleInTheWind -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/25/2006 10:54:01 PM)

you can have a skin yeast infection which usually looks kinda red and gets a white film that dries to a crust  just to let you know.

have a great day
little red

In addition to all the advice already offered, to help in the healing of the raw area use a blow dryer on the lowest temperature and blow it dry after showering.  This wiill help in both drying without further irritating it and healing.

I know it sounds strange but it is a method used by one of the dermatologists in the hospital I work at.  It is prescribed for all types of irritation type rashes, believe it or not it works better than any topical creams.

I'd go to the doc before playing with any of that.  It could be an external yeast infection, a fungal infection.....among other things.  Are you using lube or toys or condoms that you might be allergic to and your fluids along with the allergen are creeping along your skin?

blackwinterbyrd -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/26/2006 8:16:48 PM)

oh the heat rash.  If it truly is a heat rash, a sweaty-butt rash, I get those too.  I try to keep it dry and well, I use baby oil in the summer for it.  it's greasy but effective.  Too much showering and soaping and towel drying can really irritate my skin on top of my crack being moist and chafing from living in a sweltering climate.  Also, be naked around the house if you can. :)

blackwinterbyrd -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/26/2006 8:18:26 PM)

oh! and pass out with your ass in the air and the fan on after sex!

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Am I The Only One? (sighs) (11/26/2006 10:36:36 PM)

I get tail bone rashes and heat rashes in my folds, it's a yeast infection slash bacterial, putting neosporin on my rashes makes them go away and perhaps you could put some baby powder on your tail bone.
