One of these little goddam bastards bit me last week.... now I'm watching to see if my fucking leg is going to fall off.

Kill them, kill them all...... avenge me and my leg.......

Seriously, this is some messed up stuff.

Level - I worked with a girl who was bitten by one.  As she put her arm through a sweater it bit her.  Who knows how long it had lived in that sweater.  She did receive medical treatment for it, and eventually plastic surgery on her arm.  It was a nasty bite.  Perhaps you should visit a doc?

Hey...if it is getting really gross then send me a pic of it so I can send it to the guy that wants to see my nipples.  He'd like it.

nasty.....freakin' critters....I would go see a doctor ASAP....I remember reading stories of spiders in corners biting and then people falling ill and dying. Not to scare you, but check it out, maybe it put eggs in your arm.....yuuuck.

egads.  that is pretty damn frightening.

I kill any and all spiders I see.

Aerosol hairspray works well.

I was bitten on the back of my hand and the whole back of my hand became swollen. It did itch and hurt like hell for a couple days; and became quite hard and felt funny for a week or so (and continued to itch).  But...thank the gods...it never became an open, gaping wound!

I've heard just putting an antibacterial ointment works...for the bites like I got.  I tell ya; don't go looking at the pictures online...you'll freak!

Good luck, kiddo; just know they don't ALL get ugly!

Just wait about a week- the itching will have you wishing it had fallen off.

Feeling your pain, bro-

Stay warm,

Level - from what I've read, most do NOT become necrotic.  And if they do you can tell within 48-72 hours after the bite.  Where are you at in the time frame?  It says to apply ice, but I think that's for immediately after the bite.

Seriously, get medical attention for that one.  A friend of mine wound up hospitalized for 10 days, nearly died, and lost 85% use of his left hand permanently.

Those things are nasty and spreading around the country.

I went to the doc today (after looking at the online pics last night ).... I'm on anti-biotics, and they told me it looked decent considering how long it's been there; I was bit about a week ago, but did not know it at the time.

It's not horrific looking; it's about maybe not quite the size of a dime, and the skin is slighty turning black and dying right in the middle, a tiny spot.

I'm sorry, buddy....  By any chance were you fumblen' around over in the ''Mistress section'' of the boards when you got bit? I've seen a few Brown recluse female spiders over there that look like they have a very nasty bite.

Yuck, fiddlebacks... hate those things.

I had one in my shirt once, while it was on.  Felt it crawling down my chest.  I was so lucky not to get bit.

We had them everywhere when I lived in the midwest, that and black widows.  Nasty little creatures.
