96% of urine is water. The rest can be any number of excess vitamins, hormones, minerals, or amino acids that the body has too much of in the bloodstream. Urine is also sterile. Unless the person has a urinary tract infection where the bacteria enters the urine after leaving the bladder. However due to the slightly acidic nature of the urine (pH 6) and the slight traces of ammonia, bacteria cannot survive very long. In fact, did you know your toilet actually contains less viruses and bacteria than your desk? But I seriously doubt there has been much testing in whether you can get HIV or other STDs from urine. So be careful about that. In an unhealthy person, the urine may contain other things. So be careful with that as well.
