I have a tea tree oil shaving cream I got at the grocery store by Aussie I use. I always shave the same direction as the hair and not against it. I take my regular shower first, wash well with soap, put on the goop, and shave with a triple track or quad track razor. I never use one more than once. I after I get out of the shower soak a washcloth in witch hazel or alcohol and place the wet cloth on my crotch for about five minutes and I have nice tweezers I pull ingrown hairs out with that have a very small triangle shaped head.
I also shave lightly every day, and really well any day I know Sir Rob and I are going to play or I'm going to be exposed in public.

That's what trial and error showed me works best for a non bumpy or irritated cooter, hope some of this will help you too missy.
LOL my question is what ya gonna do in about 5 months and you can't see or reach yourself at all sue to your bun in the oven? Find a razor extension handle and a water proof mirror? LOL just kidding, but being you're expecting I just had to tease ya because I care.

Ok, I'm going to chime in on this...

I'm coming to believe - maybe wrongly - that shaving is rather a fad.

I used to shave all the time, suffered the ingrown hairs, the bristley effect of new growth, etc...I used to think it was important.

When I met my Master, I asked him about this and he said he didn't care one way or the other, but I was hard-pressed to stop, because it'd become a habit.

Then, he had some family issues (deaths) and I didn't see him for a long while. During that time, I stopped shaving. What a pleasure! No more irritated skin, and something that I don't hear too much of on any shaving threads, no more irritated urethra from virtually EVERYTHING I used, from mild soap, to conditioner, to lotions, to shaving cream designed for men - and women, to dipilatories.

When things at home calmed down and I saw him again, I just decided to take him at his word and didn't resume shaving. And I was amazed! He really didn't care one way or the other. We had just as much fun with as without hair.

So this past Friday, we were invited to a party. I decided to shave again. There it was, the irritated urethra, and now, the bristle and all that of it growing back. And I discovered that the biggest reason for my decision to shave was the point of being out in "public" where the standard is have no hair.

So...I decided - finally - that other people's standards are not what I'm going by. He's said he doesn't care. He really does NOT care, and I am keeping my hair. Trimmed and neat, to be sure, but I'm still going to have hair. I'm not going to be doing this anymore just because it's the current fad to do so.

juliet

Hi juliet,
You know I too am no longer under orders to shave.
I haven't been required to since 8/06.

What I found was yes, it's easier to not have to deal with it, but the sensation changes for me when I don't have hair in beneficial ways.
With hair I don't notice how wet I am on the surface, and I seem to be a fair bit more odiferous too.
I found though it indeed is a chore I feel more and feel cleaner so I'm still shaving all but a very little patch off under my own preferences.

onestanding still, I can see both your views, yours and juliets, I hate the itchy bristles and it never lasts long enough to be worth it,  and there is ingrown's no matter how careful you are, and the itching is horrendsous and inaprorpriate at times, But I also on the other hand feel more, and can tell I am wet better, Less of it is absorbed by what little hair I have, and personally I do get dryer when wiping from urinating, so there for smell less like urin after the fact* yes even with wiping a bit of scent stays* and I stay dryer during the day.

I would also imagain I would get more sensation from oral sex with out even a little bit of fur, and my x certaintly did say sex was diffrent shaved than not.

I personally prefer to be trimmed neatly rather than totally shaved...I have a moisture issue...it feels like i am too moist with out the fuzz...and well i chafe without the fuzz as well...i guess the fuzz catches the moisture!

I've decided that unless someone is willing to shave me on a daily basis that I'm just gonna stayed trimmed. Now... my question/problem. My pubic hair is seriouslyyyyyy straight and slightly coarse. There is an especially thick patch at the very top of my slit. When I trim it, the ends of the hair seem sharp! I've tried battery trimmers, scissors..
Help?

*wow talk about exposure*

When you can feel the blade scraping against your skin, put the blade to one side for a week or two while you use another. Tempered steel has memory metal characteristics and any bumps in the edge will fade after a week or so.

ok s0, i have been shaving *there* for almost 8 years now, and this is what i have learned.

mens products work best, i use a mach 3 but never fresh, always make sure to shave my legs with it first. shave gel can go either way, m/f, just make sure it is for extra sensitive. the *plate* as i saw it referred to can be shaved smooth every day but for the mound i try at least every other or every 3 days, and i try to mix it up a little so i am not shaving the same spots over and over again [thin landing strip, thick triangle shape etc]

and also if it is a little longer than usual [and always the bikini zone] i found it is best to do the first strokes downward then against the growth. pulling the skin back a bit to pull the hair out more works for a cleaner shave, and never press the razor down hard - this way you can go over it alot - and i never knick.

Ok there are two methods of getting a perfectly smooth shaved subbie labia using blades. I'll pass on the laser, cream, individually plucked hair. Though I'd welcome any info on plucked/ electrolysis?

The first is the Rolls Royce option, subbie lies/hangs, is strapped there while *someone else* shaves them using a straight "cut throat" razor. Straight razors are the ULIMATE sensual, head fucking, shave, but they have *risks* , the major one is if either party twitches, sneezes or laughs, skin gets cut. If the shaver knows hair grains and strokes the blade appropriately, there is no risk of ingrown hairs. Razors cost between $80-900 each, not including accessories and last long time.
The main accessories are
Double sided strop, linen on one side to friction heat the swiped blade before the leather side is used to rehone the edge. Stropping should occur even half dozen strokes for a literally perfect edge.
plus a Shaving Brush, preferrably badger hair, which is rubbed against the shaving soap and whipped into a lather in a shaving cup containing some warm water

Cut Throat razors give the best shave you can get, But it's edge play if the shaver is good, and a bunch of bandaids down there it they aren't. It's not vanilla.

--
For people who consider the shave to be only a destination and not both a journey and a result. Then the Gillete style multi blade, vibrating blades are *adequate*.
Again, for best results have someone else wield it.

Dry hair is similar to thin wire, while wet hair is closer to wet spagetti, so start with warm wet water and soap onto the crotch to get the hair soaked and the grease and oils removed. Baths, basins, latex pants, denim jeans, bidets and hoses connected to taps are all valid techniques.
Once the hair is wet, move on the skin, increase the temperature to the edge of discomfort. The heat pushes the blood flow closer to the skin surface, causing swelling and reducing wrinkles which reduces the risk of nicks.
Whether you squirt warm water into the vagina is a judgement call, depending on the subs history of yeast infections. Same for up the anus and urethra, they are seperate kinks in their own right, with risks.
Once the hair is wet, you're using the water for arousal not cleanliness. When in doubt just stick a small vibe with a wire running to its remote, in out of sight to keep the labia swollen. If you dont have a small vibe, then an ordinary strong, large vibe wedged into the wrong hole (anus when shaving the vagina, vagina when shaving the anus) will shake the area enough. Change condoms when you change hole.

Spread the subbie so her thighs are as far as part as possible, play with restraints. Apply standard shaving oils designed for sensitive skin. If your feeling that your subbie isn't playing attention, alcohol based or foaming ones, will get their attention.

This is important, don't shave non vibrating blade style. Pulling the blades which pull out the hair and cut at the root, over the skin is just begging for ingrown hairs. Get the razors vibrating and hold them against the hair and wait for them to hammer their way through the hair above the skin.

The first shave removes the long hair and slippery shaving foam, and is done with a gentle touch to prevent wrinkley skin getting between the blades.
Rinse the area with lots of hot water to remove the shaving oil, so it's plain skin.
With one hand grab a non greasy labial lip and pull it tight as a drum, dip the smooth handle of your vibrating razor in oil and begin rubbing it against the tight labia, so where your finger isnt, is slippery. Now very slowly pull the blades over the smooth tight skin, agian you arent cutting the hair using the edge, the razor is hammering its edge through the hair it's against.
Wash off the oils, grab the lips elsewhere and repeat the process until the lips are hairless.
Finish with a moisturiser or a flogging or ice cubes
Remember have fun

Never tried myself

But off the top of my head, there would be simple tests..

(Have you got dark glasses and a cane you could paint white?)
You could try the old "I'm blind" trick and fondle prospective doms jawlines on a first date claiming to see their face by touch, while secretly judging their skill with a razor? If they pass you have an instant excuse for them to shave you "I got RSI in the wrists, while I was going blind"

Do a quick Sharon Stone crotch flash on a first date. If they tremble, drool then fall to the floor, they get the rubber razor.
If they pass that test
Do a "so slow you can use my clit as sundial" flash and if they don't twitch they might have a chance.

Sacrifice a friend, if they come back from the date unable to keep a straight face while walking in public wearing any type of underwear, they can shave.

I think I am going with that choice. Yay.

dunno if i've asked this before....

but i think i'm getting tired of painful nether area shaving.  It seems (as of late) that ever stroke i do to shave, it hurts.  I ended up bleeding alot and my pelvis is senstive ages afterwards.

So as i was shaving today, in pain and seeing everything turn pink.. i wondered what does everyone ELSE use to shave?

I tend to use disposable razors and a bar of soap.  Today i tried bath gel, but that didnt work either AND a brand new razor.  Didnt do diddly squat.  Maybe i need to invest in a re usable razor?  What brand of razor is best?  Do others bar soap, shaving cream.. what?

course i could just be senstive lately, but really i'm tired of a indulging in my masochistic tendencies in the shower.  (that was a jokeeeeeeeee)

.

i tend to get the same way whenever i have to shave for my dom. i use body gel though and a reusable razor, but i would ask your master if you can just keep the hairs short but trimmed. That's what my dom and i have come up with b/c he was starting to get worried about me and my pelvic :). Try that suggestion first and see what he says about it, otherwise try not to shave so close to the skin, i know that's hard but it can be done.
  Best of luck

I've been shaving for probably 7 or 8 years, and now it's just routine like shaving legs or pits.  I use a Shick Silk Effects, double blade, little wires over it somehow to keep from nicking, and the cheap shave cream, either Barbasol or Gillette.  (I think it's Gillette, it's in a red can and costs around $1 like the Barbasol.)

I shave after I shower and shave my legs.  I pull the skin tight (I'm a plus-sized woman, so mound is pudgy too!) and just go for it.  Seems like going slowly would work better, but I'm not sure, but I shave in all directions, up, down, sidewards.  Sometimes I do it twice.  The longer you do it (weeks, months, etc.) the easier it gets.  The first time or two I had irritated little bumps, but now there's nothing like that, and I'm a sensitive-skinned girl.

Since I started doing it, I prefer it for myself even when I'm not with someone, but I don't do it as often.  It's easier to get a good shave when the hairs are a little longer, it seems.

Witch hazel or alcohol???  Who said that??? LOL  Damn witch hazel burns me up, and alcohol is drying!  I'm sure it kills bacteria, etc., but mine would want some nice soothing lotion or oil after that!  ;-)

I've been shaved for 10 years, and I must shave 3 times a week. The trick is to have a good sharp blade, but not too sharp (use a new blade - disposable or otherwise - on your arm pits just to take  the sharpest edge off first). You will get the closest shave by using hair conditioner, and because it doesn't foam you can see what you're doing! Shaving in the tub gives better results than in the shower as the skin is warmer and this makes you less likely to cut yourself. Also make sure you pull your skin tight before shaving the area. I personally don't like ANY hair on Me from the neck down, so I shave arms, legs etc too. My boy is similar and rarely has anything below his neck too. Good luck with having a wonderful sensual body!

Shaving drives me CRAZY, I have always had overly sensitive skin.  It is smooth and soft, but very very sensitive.  I think I have someone to shave me tomorrow though, hehe.  What waxing do people do?  Is it something you do at home?

I love my mach 3 razor. Generally I shave my legs first with a new blade to dull it a little before I do the "other bits" otherwise I have found it to be too abraisive.

Also Noxzema bikini shavers,  it is a pink handled disposable razor but it is half the blade width of a normal razor (just over 1/2 inch wide), they come 3 or 6 to a pack, they are great for the creases.

Might want to adjust how you shave, for some people they do better doing east/west instead of the typical north/south shaving movement. Generally I dry shave then either lotion or baby oil gel afterwards, so I cant help with gel/cream type shaving products.

Shaving drives me CRAZY

If it doesn't cause temporary insanity you're not doing it right

The two main ties I use are either a minimal wrists and ankles, that lets the hips churn. Just stop everytime subbie squirms, and it can take all afternoon, if she loses control.

The other one is more complicated, but is basically a rope (or real, your choice) corset around the waist, with the elbows and thighs wrapped up and tied to immovable objects while the rest of the body is left unrestrained to harmlessly thrash around. Because the thighs and hips can't move, you can shave non stop no matter how much the alcohol based and still expanding shaving foam tickles her clit, cunt and anus.
