The collar means different things to different people...to me it means you are not that creative...and are just following the herd...whatever the "special" meaning you bestow on such a restraint.

Moo.

Owned, lol my friend in Australia (I only have one) used to have a cowbell collar that she LOVED cuz her dom loved pretending she was a cow.

LOL reminds me of Christopher Walken on SNL:  "We need more cowbell!"

A cowbell would be fun, actually.  Master made me "Moo" once through an orgasm and I broke out into hysterics.  I think that's why it was a one time thing...[:D]

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one required to "Moo" on cue.  For me, it's whenever we pass a herd of cows which, in this area, is about every 500 yards.  I've actually become quite good at it.

Back to collars...  For me, the collar indicates the fact that I am property.  I have a wedding band that says I'm His wife, but the collar is the representation of our "real" relationship.  And when He chooses to add a leash to it, well... I'm just about as happy as any slave can be.

Welcome back!  I wondered where you went.  :)

[:)]  Thanks!  I've been around.  Just haven't had a lot of time for forums.  Trying to get a home business off the ground is time consuming!  Especially when my inventory is all hand made!

For me collars have diffrent meanings for diffrent things. I wear a wedding ring and that is a collar of sorts, it represnts my commitment to my husband, I wear a play collar with my Top, it makes a very handy thing for him to grab when He wants my undivided attention and to attach chains to.  It has personal meaning to me as well and it is one of trust I wouldn't let just anyone put even a play collar on me without having a signifigant  history.
To be collared to someone is a huge commitment not taken lightly, simular to a marriage and I already have a ring on my finger that I am  happy with so the leather around my neck has a diffrent meaning  to me.  It still feels very nice tho *s*  but then leather always feels nice--except when it gives you hives....shivers at that memory....
