Japan was always an aspiration......'had the pleasure of visiting a few times and it was everything for which I hoped, so it's not so much top of my list these days.....
I'm scratching my head thinking about this and thinking I tend to feel more comfortable in the Northern European countries......Germany is a place where I've always had a good time....Berlin is absolutely fascinating for various reasons.....I suppose what makes a holiday is the history, culture, scenery.... but most of all the people - the quirks/the humour/the mannerisms/the politics/the dress sense/the unwritten codes of behaviour etc...I'm fascinated by all of this....but the older I get the more I realise that everything I want in a holiday, and my dream destinations, are in the country I was born and live.
Outside of England, I'd like to spend more time in Wales which is 'very much under-rated.
