I'm starting this thread to give some new people an idea of some absolute "must-have" items that should be in your toy bag in order to conduct a "safe" and stimulating scene.

Some must have items in my toybag are: (And I'm leaving a lot out, just so I don't steal anyone's thunder...)

1 First Aid kit (Latex gloves, safety shears, lots of 4x4s, Purell, gauze, tape, condoms, dental dams)
1 spare handcuff key (Or bolt cutters)
Flashlight
Blanket
handcuffs (Steel)
My favorite leather gloves
Buffalo hide flogger

What are some "must have items" for your toybag?

I almost missed "Purell" when I first read this. I think you listed all the major safety items.

I usually have a container of clorox wipes, just in case the 'management' doesn't have them handy, which is rare for them not to.

In our 'at home' dungeon, we have a box of 'chux', which are plastic-lined underpads, so 'moist' body parts are not in direct contact with the furniture.

A new item I recently added is a snakebite kit. Makes for nice suction on nipples... You can find them in most sporting goods stores for about five bucks.

I also carry a bag of round cotton 'makeup' pads. I put these over the sub's eyes under the blindfold.

What a fun question!!

I'm packing a bag for an event now so perfect timing. I try to travel light but especially for an event with various play occuring, I tend to overload and I've upgraded to the larger bag and I have a long equipment bag for the longer toys! *chuckles* Also, the contents of My toybag change somewhat with who I intend to scene or session with, and where I plan to play, but the "must haves" on this trip for Me might include:

ToyBag:
One Mindfold blindfold
One fuzzy, pink blindfold with the word "Princess" on it.
One set of wrist and ankle cuffs
One lace hand-fan (hey, I get hot!)
A bag of various sizes and styles of panic-snaps, o-hooks and snappy things
A chain-link dog leash
A beautiful, leather leash
One ziploc baggie of a few clothespins, small nipple clamps, small chain zipper of clamps, and some itty-bitty clothespins
One small vibrator shaped like a lipstick
One Axel snake-whip (personal play only)
One Murphy signal whip with interchangeable cracker & baggy of six crackers
One Achella suede flogger
One Evil Stick
Four pieces of rope (various lengths)
Set of two "over-the-door" hook things (from Achella)
One small beaded genital flogger
One wooden paddle
One short, black acrylic cane
One wide hairbrush
One long, leather slapper
One short, flat-tipped crop
Pouch containing: condoms, lube, gloves, Purell, CloroxWipes, WetOnes, and a small bottle of Barbicide, individual Shout Wipes, chapstick, blood-stop stick, wide bandages, antiseptic wipes, lifesavers candy, Altoids, safety sissors, baggy of folded Saran Wrap, small thin flashlight and small, pocket knife

Equipment Bag:
One sjambok
Two dressage whips (various lengths)
One long, small-tipped crop
One wooden cane with ornamental handle
One purple acrylic cane
One long, hand-painted (leopard-print) spreader-bar that I painted Myself.
One can of Staphene

Wheeeeeeeeeew, now where are those subs that are going to carry these heavy loads for Me! *laughs & smiles* 'Tis a lot, I know, and usually I travel lighter but hey, it's for an event!!

You can get one of those rolling suitcases for about 29 dollars for a small one at any luggae isle at walmart I would sugest getting one for when ya pack to play at events

I forgot to add I also have a foot scrubber it has all 4 sensations in one and a really flexibel scrubber that stings like crazy when you smack someone a lot. And I have some deerskin leather shoe laces tied together in a knot at one end to hit with. A lint brush feels good too, and a big hairclip could make a make shift cock cage for a tiny dick

In my purse, the followings are must have besides my wallet, Key case, cigaretts, and cell phone.

- Pieces of strings in various length & width (CBT/NT of sort purpose)
- 2 or 3 Bandana size scarf (Choking/bindfolding/any restarints purpose)
- Swiss Army knife
- Antiseptic Cleansing Wipes or sort

Maybe addition to the above, (if there are some room...)
- Hair brush
- Small flogger
- Other first aid kits

- and you know the rest.....it will become "overnight" or even bigger bag to put the rest in :)

I have some private clients besides my pro work at the dungeon, so I always have something (can be usuful to the play yet so obvious to carry around) when the call happens on the go.

Oh, and may be off of the topic a bit, but I'd love to know if anyone has a good "toy bag".
I have regular Somsonite/Tumi type pull-on baggage.... that is not pretty.
Also, I have "cane/crop" bag/case - bought at Art supply store.

Any Mistress here uses any cute bag?

One item that i havent seen in any of your toybags is a nice hot ointment such as Ben Gay or Deep Heat etc. Talk about 'a little dab will do ya'. When put on certain tender spots such as penis, scrotum and a touch to the old back door it will get a submissives attention real quick. i have expierenced it in all of the above mentioned places and i would recomend it to you all. Iron the saftey warnings on all hot rubs say never to use on mucus membrains and I for one am not willing to go against safty warnings on the bottle to put it on a asshole. I did think of using it on the butt after a good spanking however, whatlike that goes on him also goes on me and I do not want bengay on my hands all night. no matter how much you wash it's always there. I know I could use gloves or something but that detracts from the emotional closeness a touch gets.

I started using a pretty bag I got as a complimentary gift from a cosmetic counter. It's about the size of an oversized purse. I can fit my short-handled crop and rubber slapper in there, as well as my leather ankle and wrist cuffs, blindfolds, a couple of gags, a collar, rabbit fur/leather paddle, and some safety items. It could probably hold a couple other things, but those are my "quick" travel items. :-)

Mine too, Secret Domme!! Mine was a freebie at the Lancome counter and it's huge!!! Very deep, black with gold buckles, and large shoulder-straps. It was called an "overnight, travel bag" and it was snazzy, free and good size! My long bag was some type of equipment bag. For serious out-call sessions, I use a roll-along suitcase. But, I'm with you, MistressNYC - I'd love to have a more appropriate and BDSM-themed toybag......amazing a BDSM vendor hasn't come up with such.

Dear Feline Persuasion. You bring up a good point about the warning label and that is great that you adhear to those but pharmasutical companies put warnings of all kinds of things on their products to cover their ass just incase someone has a reaction to their product. Check out a bottle of hot sauce and see if it tells you to keep away from peoples assholes as there are the same heat generating substances in both.

grins happily, Hot sauce was something I never wanted around me period, but you could prolly use a droper so you don't have to come incontact with it. my theroy was to spank an ass really REALLY REALLY well an then put a lil icy hot on it to give them something to thing on:P

I forgot to mention I didn't like hot sauce because on normal ocasions ANY spice sends me running for my juice to cool mouth. When I was a kid it was put on my thumbs to stop from sucking them but it never worked.Giggles.

if you had a droper you could suck up a controlled amount of liqud with out touching it.the turkey baster would hold a lot of water so if you wanted to do some kinda water play or fake enima's or something
and make a lil bit of sucktion or air sensations.

sensation play when you squeze the bulb an nothing in there it poofs out air, you couls make your sub close eyes an poof air on them. I have wanted to experince the feeling of water gushing into me but not from douch cause it's bad for the ph balance of the vagina, sterilize a tb an you couldinject water into yourself. Dear Feline Persuasion. i must admit that you are most definately correct that you should always spank the ass very very hard and that should supply a good dose of heavenly heat. Of course for super naughty boys like myself the extra application of a heat generating substance on the freshly spanked bare ass is like adding the cherry to the bannana split. That of course is a whole different topic! i also like your ideas for turkey basters and eye droppers as they certainly could be useful for all sorts of play. There are quite a few safe menthol type products that will give a wonderful effect to the anal area....think vicks vapor rub or even something milder like Burt Bee's lip balm...

The problem with a bdsm themed bag is that many people use the bag to travel with and handing over a piece of stylized luggage to airport personel with the image of a hand squeezing the chit out of a penis or boobage with the quote...Got Milk....probably won't go over well in the wide world where we take our bags...
