Most  munches have a policy against stuff like leading people around on leashes and stuff, even if the person doing it is ones own self.

By the way, to anyone, is it okay/proper for a uncollared sub/slave to wear a collar to a munchie .   Would hate to be one to lead myself around on a leash!

Hi Cjenny. Yes I know the difference between being Collared, and just wearing a Collar for fashion, or just because it feels good (Like me, and the other post I made).

I have no idea why it should be meant as Self Collaring. If someone tells me they are wearing a Collar, I take it for granet, that they were Collared by a Mistress/Master.

Not Confused as I may sound, Sub BalletBob

Pffft @ sounding confused. You... I already knew that you knew the diff lol. Actually a post of yours prompted my question, you wrote somewhere that you wear one under your turtleneck to work. Not collared to anyone, just enjoying wearing a collar!

junecleaver I have to say that made me laugh a bit. I'm too old to have had the pleasures of a Goth phase!

Stella, thanks so much. I wish more people would take the attitude that you have on this. It is a wee bit freaky how folks get so het up about this subject. (yeah yeah IMO)

sweetkcredhead yes.. the attitude makes the difference especially in a BDSM setting.

sambamanslilgirl eeep that nick is so hard for me to type hehe. uhuh. I don't mind the goofy looks from people

do have a Mentor/Protector and am a little confused on something He mentioned to me though that kind of fits here on the thread seeing chrissy mentioned it.

my Mentor/Protector has asked that i still wear my r/l collar and i'm a little confused because when i go to the munches will folks not ask if i am collared?

First off, what the hell kind of mentor leaves you confused or where you feel you need to come here to figure out what the fuck he is talking about?

Secondly, can you say CONTROL FREAK if he wants you to wear a collar for him?

And people wonder why I think mentors and protectors should be shot in the back of the head and left to rot where they fall.

Dont hold back, say what you really feel.

Most munches are in vanilla settings.  I myself gave my subs two collars.  One for playtime, one for public use.

I find the look of my sub with her collar on and a dog leash (looped in half) hanging down in front.  Just in case, yanno?

Hello. =)

LOL, you're welcome, Cjenny. =)

I don't have a collar right now, mostly because all the ones my owner really likes are expensive as all get out. It's just not that important to him, and therefore not to me. Although that may change in the future.

If somebody was putting a heavy emphasis on public collar etiquette, that would suggest to me that they were more interested in the trappings then the relationships. I dunno.

Cheers, Stella

write "samba" - everyone else does *giggles*

i don't mind the goofy stares either especially from black guys on the bus (not too many have seen a metal collar around a black woman's neck). i guess there will come a day when one will ask if this has something to do with slavery. however i do fit right in at a heavy metal concert.

Hi Cjenny Buds. Yes, I did post that, and in fact, wore it again today, along with a toy, to keep me nice and Tingly down under...HA HA HA

Take care and have a good night, and an even greater day.

Sincerly, Sub BalletBob (Your Sub Brother?)  ha ha ha

Along the lines of the original topic. If she hasn't said that it is you  she is talking about then it may or may not be. There are an awful lot of steves out there. I know I've dated three and been a sub to two. One in real life the other online.

If you are certain it's you she's speaking of.....Shrug it off. Either she'll grow up and realize she isn't getting what she wants. Either because you are ignoring her or because everyone else is. Those who tell lies like that merely want attention. Positive or negative doesn't matter to them.

Along the lines of whether you wear a collar in public. I did for years. Even before I got into "the scene". Then again I'm 25 and was a goth from the age of 16 to 23. I didn't much care what others thought of me or if I did I don't know it.

Depending on where you live you're likely to just get shrugged off as a little strange. If you can deal with that and you feel comfortable wearing the collar go for it. If not and you feel pressured put your foot down. You may be a sub or a slave but you are still a rationale thinking and breathing human being.

Just some of my thoughts,
Kali
