JLION -> How do I tie someone to a bed without posts? (2/21/2007 11:20:07 AM)

I am new to the site and this is my first post.

I just recently purchased some nice locking leather wrist and ankle restraints with d-rings. I also purchased a locking leather collar with 3 d-rings. I was wondering what the best way to tie a female to my king-size bed is. I have nothing but the basic mattress frame underneath. I know I can  tie her hands to the legs of the bed, but is there a better system for restraining her spread eagled to minimize movement? Right now I am thinking about just using rope tied to the d-rings, to the 4 legs of the bed.

Thanks and I appreciate any input.

Hi and welcome to CM. I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you (seeking an answer on that myself lol) aside from using the bed frame itself. My bed hasn't a headboard or anything useful like that. Gee you know you're kinky when a headboard is looked at as something useful for holding D rings [8D] .
If you don't get a response here you may want to ask in the General BDSM forum okay?
Good luck & share the information.

You can put eyehooks in the boxsprings or loop rope around the legs. You can get real adventerous and have d-rings welded to the frame itself.

Using the rope through the D rings works well.  I have lengths of rope that are attached to the four legs of my bed.  They stay there.  Whenever He needs to do bondage, he just attaches the ends of hte rope to the D rings.

Eye bolts work well.a 6 foot wide  rack on the wall does great as well as a spreader bar located ar the foot of the bed attached in the ceiling with a pulley system...One if the best ways I have seen.a friend of mine just puts eyebolts in the floor at the foot and head of the bed...IT works well. Those with just a metal frame can drill holes and attach bolts...BH

you can go online to fascinations.com its probably spelled wrong but they have an under the bed restraint system for 50 dollars and its adjustable to fit any size bed...it goes between the box spring and mattress and there are 4 "arms" that come up from under the bed and they have their own handcuffs to it but you could easly replace them because they come off....i hope this helps you....and the actual name is called Under the bed restranint syste... i have one my self and the pieces that come up are adjustable so you can make it fit your partner....and if discression is an issue you can just push the pieces under the bed and noone can tell because the blankets are hiding it....good luck

You can make a rope or strap frame on almost any matress.

In it simplest form you put two straps around the matress on the long sites about 1/2 -1 feet from the edges.  Repeat the same on the short edges.  Where the ropes cross you can fasten each cross with four short ropes.  If you put loops on the short ropes connecting the straps around the mattresses you have a fastening point for your sub.  I recomend using a cargostraps for the matresses.  You can also buy ready made straps for this in lot of toystores.

You can get as elaborate as you want with special attachments and so on.  But as long as attachments at the corners are suitable for your purposes, you can have a fine time with just a rope loop tied around each leg of the bed frame.  Run the rope through the D-ring on the cuffs, then tie it off to itself with a tautline hitch.  That is my standard means of quick bondage when playing in motel rooms, and I have had many happy hours of fun with nothing more elaborate.

When you are ready to do something more involved, you can get a head and foot board with more places to tie, or better yet, nothing can beat a custom bed frame designed for bondage.   But it is really not needed, especially if you learn to use the rope to put her in more positions of your choosing.  No toy is so versatile as rope.

Speaking of mattresses for play..I  saw  how one of those air mattresses that you buy at  wal mart can be used as a bondage bed. Portable,  yes.  I did see one on a store that was designed with hooks on the side. But I can't see why you couldn't just run the rope or chain on the floor and the mattress would keep the slave from  getting lose. But I do see some air mattresses do come with handles in the store , so look out campers lol

Rope works just fine and in a pinch, you'd also be surprised how much restraint a silly shoelace can be. One time, my partner and I were at a conference and didn't bring any rope for some reason. The hotel had changed headboards since we'd last been there and I as a bootblack had extra lengths of bootlace in my kit. I cut a few three to 4 foot lengths and tied her cuffs to the beds legs. We've also gone under the mattress or airbed and have also used the velcro sheets restraint system. It's a soft velcro adhesive sheet that covers your bed and then it has restraints/loops that velcro to the bed. Because the strips are long and fairly wide it's damn near impossible to pull yourself off. But then again any sub who doesn't desire to stay in the position I put them in isn't necessarily a sub I'd want to have.

I was told that using the straps they use on truck beds makes for some good anchor points. From there, you can tie anything anywhere you wish.

sadomasokisti has it right. Ropes done well between mattress and box-spring work fine.

I've used them on a very athletic dancer/girlfriend who regularly 'escaped' other bonds with her enthusiastic writhings and actually broke some tame S&M for beginner's restraints a friend had 'loaned' us. Ooops. That was sorta hard - but fun - to explain.

One thing I've done is get lengths of chain long enough to wrap around the mattress - one towards the top, one towards the bottom.   Fasten with snap hooks or locks, depending on preference.  You can then lock cuffs in an infinite number of positions along the chain links.

All in all, it's typically about a $25 solution for the problem.

I got this restraint system, & I love it.  It's like bondage for morons  ;)  I was too nervous to be tied with rope at first.

Sounds like the under-the-bed restraint system is an easy fix. Do those "Sports cuffs" that come with it restrain well though?
