I am not a slave so I am not sure if I should even answer this but here goes.    If I were seeking and were to write a profile, there are some things I won't do.   There are some men I will not submit to.    There are ways I would expect a potential partner to act.   If he is  a total arrogant asshole, I'd probably be a totally arrogant submissive asshole.   I happen to like myself and since I feel I would emulate him and be a reflection of him, I would want my reflection to be a good one.   
    Since I already have a partner, I do do as he wishes and I know he always has the best of intentions when it comes to me and I trust that no harm will come to me and he looks out for my well being.    Prior to this union between my partner and myself, there were plenty of discussions.   We needed to feel each other out.   We made sure that his needs and demands were in agreement to my own.   Once we established this we moved slowly onwards.  
     For someone with 25 years experience, it seems that you would already know that all slaves are not going to bow down and serve just any and all Doms.    Further, after 25 years experience it should be apparent, that most have varied degrees of definitions for 'slave'.   This definition can range from, 'I am a slave but I have 210 hard limits and I don't do housework', to 'I have no limits and if it is your will to cut off my right arm so be it.'    You should further understand with your vast amount of experience that what you consider is the best interest of a slave may be completely different from what someone else might consider the best interest of a slave.   
     The fact that you say the Master ALWAYS has the slaves welfare at heart making sure that no harm befalls her shows your disillusions to reality.   In a perfect world, your statement would be true, but, there are some who can click a button and become instant Master.    All they need to do is talk the talk.   Take a look at the book, "Internet Master."   He clicked a button made himself a Master and lured in his slaves, killed them and disposed of them in a barrel of lye.   His victims were probably some of the few who didn't dictate what they would and wouldn't do and didn't dictate how their Master should behave.   They did as their Master wished, not the other way around believing that no harm would befall them and know what, he didn't follow your belief that a Master always has the slaves welfare at heart.

  • TPE - Total Power Rxchange
  • PPE - Partial Power Exchange

Based on things I have read, many PPE relationships may or may evol into TPE. 
It appears to be dynamic of the growth of trust and devotion.

Perhaps many start off with PPE, limits in place.  To maintain a ones self while trust and devotion are established. 
Some relationship may never change from PPE to TPE.

In terms of people using TPE and having a whole set of limits, it can become confusing to others.  When in fact they may wish to establish PPE first which leads to TPE which is their ultimate goal.  

With this said, perhaps some sub/slaves... need to state.. seeking PPE hopefully leading to TPE.  this would explain limits in place.

Status: offline 		I personally believe in being picky as you feel fit when you're still seeking. Now if you're super duper picky you might find yourself single for a *very* long time however, to list what you are willing to do and not allows a clear picture and is just fine in my mind.

Listing that someone who would demand that can keep on choogaling, knowing I wouldn't match with them.

I've had the same problem with the forums! I just don't want to go away! I'm on the forums talking with awesome people and the bed is just calling to me, going "Aqua.... Aqua... I'm so soft and warm... you know you want to snuggle down under the covers!" but the forums are being so entertaining that it's an uphill battle.

All I can say is thank goodness Valyraen moved in. He has no problem shutting off my computer and dragging my butt into bed.
