The two big things I think you want to watch for is circulation and a sub potentially getting overheated. When you have someone wrapped up in something, body heat has a harder time dissipating. I've used something called Vetrap for partial mummification. There is similar stuff with different names, but the Vetrap seems to be both inexpensive and comes in long pieces. And pretty colors too! http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E0730A-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5&ccd=IDW003 You'll definitely want a pair of bandage scissors in order to get this stuff, or any other mummification material, off quickly and easily. These have a flat back, and are designed for cutting bandages with a minimal chance of cutting sub while you are at it. http://www.chinookmed.com/detail.php?product_id=000157&limit_start=5 I'd suggest trying some partial mummification (maybe knees to ankles) initially and then practicing using the bandage scissors. From experience, I can tell you that some materials tend to gum up your attempts to cut them off once they are in place.
