You know, I'm really getting annoyed by CMs "can't post messages so shortly after one another" - can't you just give me that message and NOT erase everything I've just typed?

Side Note:  When I post one right after another, having learned the hard way, I now highlight and copy what I have posted just in case this annoying "feature" happens to me so I can try again and just copy it, rather than retype it.  When I can remember to do that, that is, lol.

I agree.  It's that familiar swing of the pendulum.  An idea catches on and sweeps over society like a wave, swinging everyone into its particular direction and leaving those who do not support it on the outside, waiting and hoping for it to swing back toward the middle.

It is probably because they do not understand the lifestyle that you live. Lack of understanding is causing a lot of problems in this world, it always has. I am a feminist and I believe live and let live. I really do not care how other people live their lives UNLESS they start talking about taking away or diminishing peoples rights and then I have something to say about that. As far as I am concerned ALL human beings should have the same rights and if you choose not to use them fine you are not obligated too but they are there for those of us who may choose to use them.

I consider myself a feminist in it's original form. Coming from a country with even a statefunded feminist movement I'd say the issue to me is that feminist movement in reality did become a sexist movement. It has always been of great amusement for me to watch how this movement had all these ideas about how a woman should not show any sexuality - ONLY - till they themselves was going out for "fun" Saturday eve. Then all of a sudden, stockings, makeup and lipstick is ok. Today I don't even bother dealing with this. I hold my women in high regards and that's what matters to me.

Funny you should mention construction I own a construction company I'm not jumping on you or anything, just saying that some women can do the work without any problems and others can't. The same goes for men, I've had some guys working for me who should really have picked another profession.

You may own it but do you go up on the girders and handle the crane or the metal beams?  I meant work construction.

I build houses and yes I do climb ladders, do roofing, down on my knees doing flooring.etc. I have done so since I was about 10 years old. Not the best profession for pretty hands but I prefer doing what I enjoy and what I am good at.

I am a proud feminist.  I grew up in the 60's and learned early that it was about choice - a woman's choice in how she wished to live.  In the last 40 years many new ideas have formed - not all I agree with.   A submissive feminist witch - that is what I be!

I consider myself a feminist. I know myself to be a submissive.

If the goal of ("twue") feminism is to be freed from the gender roles dictated by others -- does that not also include the gender roles dictated by the more 'radical' feminists? Why on earth would I wish to free myself from the societal bindings on what I can and cannot do, only to submit to *their* image of what a woman should be?

To me, a "true" woman is a woman who understands her self, her needs, and fulfills them -- whatever direction that may take her in.  For me, that takes me to my knees in front of the man who I have given myself to, in servitude and marriage.

I am 100% feminist.  The way I see it, I enjoy being dominated.  People dominate me because I allow them to.  I am a masochist, so I let people physically hurt me.  By NO means do I believe that every woman should be a sub, and I am more than happy with Dommes.  Feminism really comes down to the fact that men and women have an equal right to CHOOSE whatever they want.  If it is a woman's choice to be submissive, more power to her.

I am very much a feminist, as is the man to whom I submit.  We both believe that women have the right to define what their lives should look like as much as men do.

Agree wholeheartedly with this statement.  I've dealt for too many sexists idiots on both sides of the gender coin to not belive in anything else.
