i am not sure it is disintegrating, but terms are used alot more loosely than they used to be. its easier to hide behind the screen of your PC and claim you are this or that, but who would know any different?

i agree with you about the weekend slaves, and the temporary collars, and the D/s orgies. i see that as fetish more than lifestyle.

and you will most likely get all kinds of comments about twue, and how, who are you with your 3rd post getting all in our faces with your absolute way of master/slave puritan BS.

hmm wasn't aware I was fake...I'm saddened by this. I could absolutely SWEAR that my lifestyle is very real and alive...but maybe I'm crazy...to the OP oh great and powerful Sir full of himself...get over your self! Just because not everyone plays by your rules doesn't mean that they are ruining "our lifestyle" no two lifestyles are the same...there are lots of different styles within BDSM. Blessed be all!

To respond to your sig line...Good for you and yours. If that is what makes you happy, then go for it.

To respond to your post above this. You know, on a certain level, I get what you are saying but the level I am getting it from is not the level you probably intended. Like a lot of people, I look around at everything today and say "Whoooaaaaaaaaaaa!!! what happened to this...and that...and the other?" And much of what has replaced this and that and the other leaves me cold. But calling others fakes or wannabes because they do not match up to what you expect nor to your lifestyle does NOT make them fakes or wannabes...except in YOUR own eyes. And should that not be what is important to you?

Now, does that mean I won't argue a point of D/s or BDSM with others on here? Does that mean I won't argue a point of morality on here? Nooooooooo...but it means that I am careful to state that where I am coming from when I do so is MY world. What I say lets people know that this is what I expect in my world and lets them know...if they are submissive...what works in my world and what does not. If that does not suit them, they are free to move on or engage me in conversation and either show me the error of my ways or become convinced of the error of theirs. I have both taught and learned from submissives/slaves. (I know...learning from submissives/slaves...what a concept, eh? Bit of sarcasm there) If they are other dominants, then they know where I am coming from and areas where we might have to agree to disagree but that does not stop us from engaging in conversation with each other and acting like the refined species we are supposed to be and discussing our differences rationally rather than choosing to label the other as fake.

I’m going to weigh in on this being a relative newbie to the scene (6months) and all apologies for any stumbling. Intially what I found was a lack of depth, many desiring to play dress-up or those motivated by the mighty dollar. As my perspective changed I realized the lack of depth is inherient in quite a few areas of life, liking dress-up is fine and far better than chucking hand grenades plus the mighty dollar with its pursuits are everywhere in this society. So now I get to define my relationship to the life and to my sweet love… now comes the tricky part…..quality information and teaching motivated in earnest appreciation of the art of BDSM. It is a quest but one that has to be undertaken if one desires to move beyond the superficial, to move beyond the over-ridng sexual drums beating in our souls. To the depths I desire to take her, it pleases me and thrills her. It’s not about gizmos and dressing up like Batman, it’s about the psychology that if ingrained and presented right is akin to whispers that strike like lightning. In the end we get to choose the level we’re at, deceide our position in the life if we are truly Masters of our destiny. To think and choose, not just react to the stimulus in front of us. Then we can dictate and provide proper guidance to those who desire to serve us. The canvas is blank and it can be many things. Scribblings, scrawlings, a crude collection of paint smears or it can be a Master piece. If you are in true control, is not the choice yours? SunLord
