ORIGINAL: fluffypet61 [i understand you don't like my success. i said it worked for me. The roads i was traveling, the other occupants in the car, etc. contributed to my ability to use this method. Of course i used all the clips and straps on the things. Yes, i did emphasize in my post that the driver was responsible for safety. i intended it as a suggestion ... to share what worked for me. It DID work. i know i'm a grandmother and i don't count any more. i'm feeling really bad right now, so i'll shut the fuck up. Actually I did that too. But to be fair, I was driving under 5 miles on local roads going 30 mph normally, to preschool, to the grocery store. On an interstate you can't do that. When they got old enough to be interested in what music was on, good behavior was enforced by having a tape of Hank Williams Sr singing yodeling songs. That was severe punishment! In fact I still keep it around to threaten them with. And of course me singing along with it gets promises of quiet and good behavior. They grow older, I grow sneakier!
