Here I am in TX and its 20 degrees outside. I am about to take georgie out for a bit of his business.

Riiiiiiiiight! No. . . she needs to learn that night time is for sleeping. Now. . . if I could convince the other half that sometimes you just have to be "mean," this would be much easier.

However, I did get the christmas cards stuffed and addressed and stamped. They will go in the mail today. I will go to the post office later to get the stamps for Canada.

Greetings all.....

a lot of damage from the 70 mph winds last night. The good news is the house is still standing and the occupants of said house are alive and well. The bad news is flying trees are not kind to whatever they hit.

just superficial, as far as we can tell. A few window shutters need fixed, dents and dings in the siding, and i have no clue where the trash cans could possibly be. Jims car was parked close to a pine tree and is buried in branches and pine cones. The best case scenario is he will have lots of pine sap to scrape off. No doubt there is damage though.

Hopefully everyone else that had the bad weather is ok????

Apple cake recipe (makes a good breakfast snackcake)

Cake:

1/4 cup of cinnamon-sugar mixture
4 apples, choped small
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Glaze:

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup firmly packed light bown sugar
2 teaspoons milk

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a Bundt or tube pan and coat with cinnamon-sugar mix. Mix apples, eggs and oil with an electric mixer. Add flour, sugar, baking soda and cinnamon; mix well. Pour into pan and bake about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow cake to rest in the pan for at least 10 minutes; invert onto a cake plate. To prepare glaze, combine butter, brown sugar and milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil amd cook for one minute. spoon over cake, allow to cool before serving.

Now, we don't make the glaze since the cake is sweet enough. any named apple will do. We used Gala apples this time and I almost had an orgasm while eating it.

Dear SweetCheeses....i literally ran out of the house in shorts and a tanktop, barefooted to yell for the garbagemen to come backward down the street and get the garbage i forgot to put to the curb last nite....im FROZEN...but all the cans are empty.
