Maybe if you're financially successful enough, you can remove your submissive from the top-down job market. That's the sad underlying current -- most 'slaves' are in fact slaves, just not to their significant others! I suspect that a formal study would reveal that BDSM psychology occurs most readily in countries like the U.S. (I'm from the U.S.) that lack a proper social security net and that possess a highly polarized income distribution. Given a BDSM context, "trickle down" economics takes on its true face!......... i am a slave and i am successful. i hate that people assume that sub are doormats to the world and are not productive. People assume that a slave is a leach that clings to a more successful Dominant person but i don't see it that way. i understand that is the way we viewed though. slavey

Although I would do anything for my M, I also have to live outside in the real world. I doubt it would go over very well in my profession if I showed up with a bald head. While fantasies of being a home bound slave, naked, with a shaved head might appeal to someone, most of us still have to live in reality and therefore have to conform to what society insists on (even if we don't agree with it). Anyway..I think he would miss pulling my hair while taking me from behind.[;)]

Hrm... shaved my head in my er... earlier hard core punker days (waaaaaaaaaaaaay before Goth!)... trust me.. not my best look.. I know that is not the point of shaving a womans head.. well, unless you look lovely shaved... but no. I probably would not submit to that. I don't think I would want to be in a relationship where that kind of 'breaking down' goes on... and honestly... I do not need it (or want it) to reach a very deep and rich submission. In fact.. that sort of thing tends to send me in the WRONG direction.

I know it's obvious but why not just try to find someone who already has a shaved head? that way You'll know they're open to the idea of it. I know it's not quite what you're looking for but I'm guessing that the reason most people have hair is because they're rather attached to it (no pun intended) and therefore [probably] aren't looking t be dragged off and have it shaved off. Over time the hair'll grow back and need shaving-that'll be Your job and the longer You leave it between shaves the more fun for You when it comes time to do it again. This is the best solution, IMO because as S/some have already said, hair tends to be popular for work, going out etc, so when You meet someone who's got a shaved head You'll know they're already living their life without hair and can therefore cope without it.

I admit that in V for Vendetta, this treatment was amazingly hot. However, even in that sequence, it made the character very,very angry at first. In the real world, she might stay that way. Would I submit to it? Yes, but only if all my partners were in agreement. While I have one Master, I am somewhat like communal property, with all my partners being able to contribute guidelines for my treatment and use. Thankfully, Master has no interest in shaving my head. Like others have mentioned here, however, I do not think that shaving my head is necessary to tear down my walls. When he discovers them, he is fine pulling them down one by one. Sometimes ones walls are there for a reason and tearing them down can have consequences. Tearing them all down at once may break your slave in a less than desired fashion.

I have read most of the posts on this topic and find it rather difficult to see how raining on someone else for their fetish or fantasy is of any value to anyone except to enhance your own superficial sense of self worth. As someone who has had her head shaved (friend had cancer, solidarity and all that), it wouldn't devastate me to do so again, if it was something my Sir decided he really wanted of me. It certainly would not be a deal-breaker for me, but nor would it be something I would particularly want to do. Fortunately, my Sir likes me to have hair, and is often refusing my requests to cut my hair shorter than it already is.
