I admit my house smells AMAZINGGGGGGG. I just finished making raspberry preserves and I had brewed some Choffy to drink while I was doing the preserves.

I ADMIT I want some of that SMELL!!!

LaTigresse -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/22/2012 7:24:05 PM)

For that, you gotta get your ass to the farm.

culareD -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/22/2012 7:26:24 PM)

I admit I wonder where the "bestest ever farm"is?

absolutchocolat -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/22/2012 7:26:25 PM)

The military, the Siliconians and the HUGE number of elders/retirees we have, who move here for their health or the weather.

I'm wondering whether you mean GoG and Centenniel (which is like all of 7 driving minutes from me)? Circle crosses Austin Bluffs, which GoG turns into, on the east side of I25.

I can understand your SO being mad as heck, as there are so few decent places to eat here. It's an odd, funny thing about the natives and their relationship to the food here. They are under the delusion the food here is fabulous, when in fact most of it is deplorable. Of course, it does not help I'm from NYC, and know what damned GOOD food is. I hate to rain on their parade, but as a rule, it sucks eggs, bigtime.

I admit, I think you are absolutely right about the cross street. I knew it was a "C" but I went with the wrong one.

You're right about the food, too. Very few good places and some that I thought were good have gone out of business. There was a pretty good Italian place (Bambino's) that was at Platte and Circle. (The restaurant was on the second floor of a walk up.) The price scheme was kind of high, but the dishes weren't bad. There also used to be a good Japanese restaurant (Musashi's) on Acadamy Blvd not far off from the comedy club.

The other half is from Long Island, so I've got a frame of reference.

Whoo boy...

I admit I haven't really felt like posting lately.
I admit I need something to do.
I admit I am ready for a house to work on but nothing has been happening lately.
I admit I had a really rotten weekend.
We were supposed to go to a halloween party at the local playspace. we've been trying to get out for weeks now. Last week my corset split on the way and we turned around and came home. The three weeks prior we didn't make it out for one reason or another, I had been working on the dungeon so most of those I was just too tired to bother. This weekend however, as usual I spent ALL DAY getting ready to go and we both got all prettied up and in the car and on our way...Mr needed a little gas so we stopped but failed to notice the traffic snarl as we crossed over the expressway. We get on to I-4 and as soon as it's too late to turn around we notice the traffice is at a dead stop up ahead. Thinking "ok, fuck it, we'll jump off at the ext exti and go a dofferent way" we stay on the road (instead of driving on the fucking grass like I would have done if we'd been in my truck cuz I'm an impatient bitch like that). It took us 2 hours to drive the 3 miles to the next exit. By the time we got to it, we had missed the costume contest part of the party, it was already late and if we had gone the different route we planned to take it would have taken another hour and a half to arrive and everything would have been overwith anyway. 10 minutes after exiting the freeway we were back home...both of us extremely pissed off. Mr tried to salvage what was left of the evening by taking me to the dungeon to go scene, but I was just too angry to get into the right place in my head. An hour later I was in bed even more pissed off.
I dunno whether it's fate or karma or something preventing us from going to keep from something bad happening or what the fucking deal is, but this is going on 5 weeks now that we have been trying to get out and not made it.
I admit we will try again this coming weekend, there is another costume party and of course I have mine from this past weekend still all ready to go.

I admit we finalized our plans for our cruise in December and made and paid for our reservations...I even know what room we'll be in!
I admit I am a little overwhelmed with the way they have you plan out your shore excursions. You have to click through each of them one at a time rather than be able to see them on a calander type of grid. Most of them start pretty early so you can plan pretty much one thing to do in each port and it's difficult to figure out a way to double up on things to do which I really wanted to do. For instance: One thing I wanted to to starts at 8:30 in the morning and is a planned 5 hour thing, the other thing in the same place I wanted to do starts at 9:30...and they each only have 1 planned time for that day so I have to pick one or the other, I won't get to do both. Most of the excursions are like that...except for shopping...FUCK shopping LOL. Anyway, I think I'm going to pick the thing that comes with a lunch so at least I don't have to worry about that too.

I admit I would LOVE to have some advice on what kind of stuff to bring with for a 7 day cruise. We have never been and frankly I don't have much of a clue other than bathing suit, shorts, and lube! LOL.
I admit I am also really tempted to make a dr's appointment and get some birth control pills just for the cruise so I can make SURE I don't get PMS or my period while we are on our vacation because that would really suck.

wow, holy shit I guess I should post more often so I don't end up spewing a book next time LOL

Sorry ;)

yourdarkdesire -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/22/2012 7:54:23 PM)

Lucifyre, where are you going on your cruise? And what cruise line are you going on?

On a 7 day cruise, you can expect two formal nights, the first one about three days in, the second is usually your last night at sea. You probably want a cocktail dress or long gown for these evenings, Mr in a suit at minimum! There will be several different restaurants onboard, so get your reservations made early.

There will be nightly entertainment in most of the lounges, with production shows in the theatre. A comedian, mini musicals, singing, dancing. Different movies will be shown each evening.

If you go to your cruise lines website and take a look at what you can expect section, it will give you guidelines on what you need. Most evenings men are expected to be in dress pants and a collared shirt, ladies in a pant suit or skirt.

When we went to Alaska, I found that though it makes the packing a little more complicated, it is more fun if you join in the dress up parts. Cruising is not an ordinary experience...so don't dress like it is.

My mailbox is open if you have any other questions. :-)

I admit that I also would love to try homemade raspberry jam, see the farm and meet LaT!

I admit that Haus made me snort laugh.

I admit Lucifyre is going to have a blast on the cruise. We went to Mexico in January and it was awesome fun! Where are you going? A word of advice also - you can book shore excursions when you get off the boat, directly with people, however there are risks involved with that and what kind of things you want to do.

sexyred1 -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/22/2012 8:29:22 PM)

You can hide someone's post on this side. I don't think you can block them though.

Tell your friend I love them!

yourdarkdesire -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/22/2012 8:33:15 PM)

The only problem with waiting till you debark to book your excusions is that you are going to find a lot of them are sold out. Make your choice and book it Luci!

Tell your other half I've lived on LI, as well. Uniondale, Levittown. Ahhh, the memories! From where in LI was he?

Trinity Brewing Co., on GoG, past Centenniel, has outstanding food. Tomo Sushi, on Academy and Galley has consistently great sushi. The Craftwood Inn, in Manitou, has incredible game of all kinds, in fact it only serves wild game. I'm sure there are more, but I've yet to find them.

That's about the funniest thing I've heard in I don't know how long. Thanks for crackin' me up, Haus.
