Yes, Lucy in earlier reports it was stated that his gun jammed and that came from the person who I believe was an off duty officer who took the gun away from Reeves.

Edited for spelling

Which proves absolutely nothing.

Of course they've changed the story.
They'll keep changing it until they find one that seems to exonerate the trigger happy old fart from murdering one person and winging another, won't they?

It is the widow who changed her story, don't think she is out to get Reeves off.

Ironic, 'Given your posts and all that...' except there are no such posts.

So, nothing on the topic, nothing factual, and nothing to back up the assertions.

I explained why I wont post and back up my assertions...... Obviously you are unable to goad me into doing so.

I have also made my views on the shooting issue clear, to one degree or another it was plainly a murder.

Actually it proves that he couldn't have fired a second shot if he had wanted to but says nothing about his
intent to do so.
As a gun owner you should know that.

Sorry I must have read something extra into it.

I saw something scroll on the main page saying it proved he tried to shoot again and I was still thinking
about that level of ignorance when I posted to you, again I am sorry about the mistake.

As I said, it's okay. We all have our beliefs and are passionate in our opinions especially when they don't agree with everyone. We have not agreed on a lot of things but have also found common ground and remained civil. I respect you for that.

Right, that is the reason I wanted to be sure you knew I wouldn't intentionally insult you.

So now that the question of authorship is fully resolved, is it clear that the weapon failing to fully complete the firing cycle has nothing to do with the intent of the user?

Lmfao........ All I said was, it proved he was trying to fire again (post#444), unless you are suggesting the trigger pulled itself then I was speaking the truth.

Edited for typo.

No, Polite. It doesn't prove any such thing. When you fire a semi-auto handgun, pulling the trigger fires one round. A portion of the energy released in firing the bullet causes the weapon to automatically (hence the name) eject the used cartridge case, and load the next round into the chamber. When the next round fails to load properly, that is known as a "jam."

If Reeves had been trying to manually work the action to clear the misfed round, that would likely show intent to fire again. According to the reports, he just sat down.

Please feel free to utilize Google to enhance your understanding of the machine and mechanical operation in question. What you don't know is obvious to anyone with the most basic comprehension of firearms, and your assumption is wholly inaccurate.

How we use the language varies a bit, Polite. A semi-auto pistol works the same way on both sides of the Atlantic.
