Somebody can help me out with this part. I forget the name for it, but there's supposedly this phenomenon that happens on social sites that's related to the bombardment of data related to stats. (By stats, I mean things that boil down to the numbers on a person's profile. Height, weight, age, etc.) People are far more likely to discount people as potential partners based on those numbers. It's not the same as getting to know people in real life. It happens because of the overwhelming amount of crude data, rather than the personality factor.
