Another thing, too..just because the bleeding stops doesn't mean the cramps do and you can continue to bleed even if you stop releasing eggs for several months or years after you can no longer get preg. You can still get preg after you stop bleeding as well and you can stop bleeding for a long time then suddenly start again. The whole damn things a bit of a crap shoot! Diet and other things can also effect menses and gymnasts on the elite level (other sports, too) are notoriously shy of proper cycling because of poor eating habits and compulsory exercise to maintain elite status. Thankfully, for gymnasts at least such thing are being scrutinized these days..a good thing.



Before my mum got dementia, we were talking about meno...apparently my gran had one when she was 80,

right now I cant get a hysterectomy, I dont want one, I cant handle the though of going thru more surgeries but I need one. I should have done it ten years ago.
yep gymnasts, models, and ballerinas can have issues.
but meno sucks for an awful lot of women, its still so misunderstood and complex

As for meno. I saw a report on social media recently with an American lady who had been told she'd have no more kids, was going through meno, went to the Dr with huge abdominal pains to be told she was 8.5 months pregnant and in labour.

Status: offline 		My doctor's definition of menopause was a full year without any bleeding. I had three years before that where I had one period yearly, always February for no apparent reason.

Even now, six years later, I still have symptoms of my cycle. Period acne, increased libido one week a month, and so on. Less every year but there's still some extra hormone release, although no egg.

If you can carry a fetus in your abdomen, that's an ectopic pregnancy and you need immediate surgery.

I'm technically bisexual now (though I consider myself hetroflexible), considering that I have sex with women.
However, I only have sex with women if/when there's a man around, and I do it for his enjoyment.

Without the man, I have much more interest in a vibrator than in another woman, seeing that women don't arouse me sexually. For me, having sex with a woman is much the same as it was having sex with a client back when I was a prostitute: something I don't mind doing, but not something sexually stimulating.
My arousal in having sex with a woman stems solely from pleasing the guy who's there sexually.

So interestingly enough, such an event would change me from bisexual to straight, instead of the other way around.

I'd also wonder, and imagine what evolutionary paths would bring about the next sentient life forms that would build the next civilizations and try to envision what the world might be like without humans.

Or am I overthinking this one?

That would require a lot of imagination and creativity given that the only species to build great civilizations are us: members of the Great Apes with enlarged cranial vaults and opposable thumbs and forefingers (for grasping tools)

I wouldn't know where to begin with that one, unless it were some Edna and Eve who absconded with the last vial of extant sperm cells. Or maybe they were hiding out with a robot blessed with Super AI and the wit to invent artificial but viable sperm cells.

They have excellent eyes and manipulative tentacles, and there's a suspicion that raising sea temperatures might help cold blooded invertebrates throw off their mental chains.
