What universe is this? Jehovah Witnesses barely committed any terrorist act and they get banned. A whole Christian Religion! Yet, nobody is taking any action on Islam.

The Russians are fighting Islam with their military etc, but banning the fanatical cult we call Islam outright would be a tough slog. They are already at war, all Muslims are at war with everyone who isn't them whether we are willing to admit that or not. Their book and other teachings demand it. "Allah" demands it Officially banning their cult practices would only pour gasoline on the situation Jehovah's Witnesses are pansies though, easy enough to push around. Like practically all other Christian groups they never commit terrorist acts these days. Christians have grown up, so to speak Muslims are still murderous medieval bastards

just to be clear guys---at the very least, the conservative and probably moderate Christian denominations consider the Jehovah's witnesses a cult.

I'm just saying you're looking at the mirror, and you're illustrating why. Now you're saying "You should ask WHY conservatives are right about this" instead of noting your belief that if it's a conservative position, it's automatically true. ALL such generalizations are nonsense, whoever is making them. All conservatives, all liberals, all anybody's don't think alike in lock-step, don't like all the same things, don't react all the same ways, and yet reading the posts in this forum, that appears to be a common belief that in fact, the world really is just that simple. So I offered a quick observation, noting a recent occurrence right in this forum that shows the assumption to be false. You responded with defensiveness and name-calling. OK. No surprise considering the source. But you're over-reacting. You could have simply said, "yeah, we don't all see things the same way, true," and we'd be done. You chose differently. "Why my view is always right" is not a discussion of views. It's why you and I don't have many discussions. And when we do--this is all you have to say.

Ys Greta, they are all over theplace here. Actually the Mormons do it as well. The JWs however believe that only 144,000 will be saved at the end of the world so I wonder why they bother. And of course I am sure they believe that 144,000 will come from among their ranks. The olman read the Bible and the Book Of Mormon cover to cover and had a serious discussion with the Mormons when they came. They never came back. The JWs pretty much the same. If they ever bother you, just answer the door fully nude and they will not come back. You might try a "NO SOLICITING" sign in front of the house but I am not sure in this country if that applies to the religious. I never checked. I suspect that if I looked into this Russian law I would find that it is overblown. The law is probably not against the religion at all, only about the solicitation. Just like Gays. People were told that Gays were illegal in Russia but in truth their law only forbids promoting homosexuality to minors. Anyone got an actual translation of the law against JWs ? Are they forbidden to build churches ? Are they forbidden to have meetings in their house ? Speaking of that one state tried that shit here, forbid religious meetings at private homes. Totally unconstitutional but these legislators are clueless. Seriously fucking clueless. It is like anything else. Like ALL Muslims want to kill us. Sure some do, but not all. If all of them did there would be more of us dead. They are i our convenience stores, banks, fast food joints, everywhere. Most of them can buy guns. But by and large they don't do that. The media has people thinking they do. Mind you I want no more of them in my country, in fact I want no more of anyone in my country. I want the borders closed, period. T^T

What it comes down to is; what do you consider to be dangerous? In a "totalitarian dictatorship", what is wanted is the complete control of the hearts and minds of their nation and JWs being spiritual warriors will fight them tooth and nail for those same hearts and minds, which make them even more dangerous extremists in the eyes of the government than the Muslims who could care less about hearts and minds and just want to kill and destroy indiscriminately. Thus JWs get banned and Islam pretty much gets a free pass.
