Of course they did. Because the Palestinian catspaws' agenda has always been the total annihilation of Israel. There is no Palestinian people. There never has been. These people are Arabs. Muslims. And therefore anti-semetic haters of the Jews. The idea that the Middle East has been held hostage by the abhorrent, vile death cult that is Islam is simply too horrific for rational sane observers to stomach. I don't think recognising the capital is necessarily a good idea, but the "Palestinians" don't want peace anyway. And it's about time the rest of the world realised that.

It shouldn't affect anyone. Even Obama said that Jerusalem was the Capital of Israel. It makes sense to move to the Capital. When our embassy is moved there, other nations will do the same thing. Another Trump win.

In broad strokes, an Embassy is the official representative of one country sent to another country. A consulate is an office that represents the interests of a country located in another country. A consulate deals in trade negotiations, visa applications, and assistance to their citizens while traveling in other countries. i.e. You immediately contact the closest consulate when your passport is lost while traveling abroad. The consulate is where you go for import permits to ship commercial goods back to your country.
