The Kinsey scale describes a continuum between complete heterosexuality at one end and complete homosexuality at the other. Per Kinsey, the sex researcher who proposed this idea, each person falls somewhere along this continuum. The further one is from the the heterosexual end, the more likely he is willing to engage in a bisexual encounter. I think a person's Kinsey rating is relevant.

In another discussion, I recall a contribution from a sub who has no bisexual interest. He does not enjoy the idea of sex with a man in itself. However, he enjoys being ordered to have sex with a man since he sees it as an expression of dominance and submission, much like he might enjoy being ordered to something else. I imagine in his case, bisexuality is not a limit (which may be related with his Kinsey rating) and so, while he does not enjoy sexual contact with men, he can engage in this activity. Thus, I think that forced bisexuality is not always driven by an interest that seeks permission or justification to overcome societal pressures.

I think also relevant is the reason why one does not wish to engage in sexual acts with men. I recall a discussion elsewhere that polled male subs what they would rather do, kiss a man or suck a man. The responses suggested to me that how each felt was affected by what was a greater boundary or source of distress for each: submission to another man or intimacy with another man. Depending on how the act is framed, the act can have a flavor of intimacy or submission.

Cheers,

Sea

That is extreme Michael! Men arent that bad - youre one after all?

But I know what you mean. I wasnt suggesting you had some repressed urges that would do you good to be forced to express.

i would have to chose option three...head for the nearest exit in a timely, and rather hasty, manner. never looking back and disappear as quickly as humanly possible.

(this statement may get me a repremand by the MODs, but here goes)

men are pigs and i dispise being one, yet changing that is not an option...

i am not wishing to top from anywhere, being instructed to suck another guy, isn't that what a sub is suppose to do. i just feel it would be another way of submitting to your Domme.

If that logic alone was complete, you could say the same for being instructed to perform any type of crime.

Having sex with another man is not a boundary for you and that is great. For men for whom it is a boundary, the idea is similar to what might be for you if you were asked to go against one of your boundaries.

Sure, a crime and having sex with a man are different types of boundaries. The former has clear and concrete adverse implications while those for the latter reduce to emotional stress. Still, I think emotional stress of some sort is a valid reason for a boundary. Perhaps comparison to incest or necrophilia will help convey my point about why something that has no concrete adverse effect can still be a boundary due to emotional reasons.

You know Michael, they are sooooooo different when one is on the other side. Women too, for that matter. Having experienced both sides from both vantage points, I'd say in very broad over generalisation, men and women are capable of being equally despicable and equally charming - it just depends on who the audience is and what their motivation is. The nature of the despicability and charm varies between the sexes, but its equitable in its methods and effects.

The sad truth for men, is that whatever fantasies you concoct and whatever pedestals you put them on, women are people too.

Micheal you're greatest problem isn't the hatred for your penis but your envy that women don't have one ...

michaelGA2 -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 6:16:38 AM)

i agree that women are people...but men aren't (in my book). my outlook on this won't change, but thank you for your informative posts.

as long as i never have to interact with men in any way, i would be one happy subbie.

This type of generalization is pretty damn unhealthy, not to mention ridiculously untrue.  There are so many wonderful men out there who are definitely not pigs.  Sea up there...he's definitely not a pig.  My boys, my husband, my friends, not pigs.  Sure, there are some men who are but I could also name several women off the top of my head who could also fall into that category.

It's a shame you feel that way and I hope you would at least try to get over such an irrational viewpoint.

Would you really?  Or would there be something else, then something else, etc that would affect your ability to find happiness?

actually, my greatest problem is that, there's no visible way to distinguish me from other men...every time i go out, (and i'm not exagerating here) someone come up to me and asked me about some stupid sporting event or other and they give me an appalling look when i inform them i do not waste my time on such things. it gets old really fast and i'm very tired of being stereotyped like that.

yeah, i would...most definately...without question...

I'm curious.  What about that bothers you?  Is it the sporting event that you equate to being a masculine trait thus you do not like it?  Because I get approached like that all the time too...except I usually have the answer being a sporting enthusiast myself.  Do you think you may be projecting your own stereotypes of men onto others who may just want to have a conversation?

Jasmyn -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 6:30:55 AM)

lol Micheal welcome to my world ... I am not a girlie girl, I don't hang off the every word of the designated 'hot guy' in the room, I don't care for what the lastest skirt fashion is, nor do I care whose screwing who in the bathroom while their wifey's trying to the hump the ball player in the jacuzi, nor do I need to know if my arse looks fat in something ... I guess, from a kindred soul, the only advice I can give, is be thankful...for there by the grace of a gravy stroke go I ;)

michaelGA2 -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 6:32:29 AM)

i dispise sports and the act of asking me about such things, expecting me to bow down to the norm of the male mentality, is insulting...so it's aggrivating to me when someone asks me this stupid question, expecting me to have the answer.

MsKatHouston -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 6:42:34 AM)

ah I guess I have a male mentality since I do like such stupid things LOL But then, maybe that's just me going against the grain of the girly girl things that are stereotyped to females.

Really, in the grand scheme of things someone who is trying to be polite and engage you in conversation but unwittingly chooses a topic you despise is not the worst thing that can happen.  I kinda think you just need to lighten up a bit ;)

michaelGA2 -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 7:57:58 AM)

what i need is a t-shirt that says "DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT SPORTS" in big red letters on a black background. and on the back it would say "SOMEONE JUST MIGHT GET HURT"

MsKatHouston -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 7:59:04 AM)

sounds kinda kinky ;)

michaelGA2 -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 8:00:47 AM)

LOL

LadyEllen -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 8:19:32 AM)

Just a warning Michael. I had the same problem with being asked about sports, cars and so on, and not being slightly interested.

Look what happened to me.

E

michaelGA2 -> RE: forced bisexual acts (10/19/2006 8:22:29 AM)

not sure what that entails, but ok
