I'm not in a position to understand what being "outed" feels like, thankfully, but I do not believe anyone who made it to Orlando should have any reason to think they could not to speak freely and in confidence with me, many personal privacies were respected and will continue to be and many close bonds were forged.

I don't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks of me as anyone who knows me knows, I am me, I can't be anyone else and the personal compliments I recieve for being me are very inspiring.

An observation : How many times do you cringe when you hear the "my wife/husband doesn't understand me" thing ?

My wife understands me (even though we speak in different languages). How many can "boast" that ?

Perhaps there's many who do not believe in love too ...... ?

Not my problem.

Thankyou Katy

I hate it that moron adolescents think off season fireworks are the peak of human experience. No no their problems are bigger than mine for they enjoy things that go bang.

Humm it's dark out, maybe in the morning I can dig a big hole with spiky spikes in the bottom, I've seen this device in jungle films and it looks mighty effective.

The diatician who taught the diabetes basics class said fruit juice is just pure white sugar and water and to stay away from it. I remember a long time ago I was having a glass of juice a day, mango pineapple, and stuff like that and while I was eating pretty well my sugar was still through the roof, and w hen I stoped drinking fruit juices, and didn't change what I ate, it droped dramatically.

I eat yoplait lite,  Poen,  the sugars and stuff differ depending on the flavor you have, Extra vanilla, only had 110 calories for instance, and chery cheese cake has 170.  I'm not sure that yoplait, is the best thing for someone watching their sugars* or trying to learn to*  Ok, lower roughage? OR is that step away from junk and up the roughage?

Yup, yup , I already read lables and cartons.

We eat at jack in the box and I don't order burgers I order eggstrem egg sandwhiches, 2 of them and a large ice tea, but like I mentioned in other threads I am trying to stop eating out so much.

It's not a habbit I want to continue and it's not good for our pocket book at about 18 dollars a pop.

Hate to disagree Lushy..but every time I put a piece of fruit in my mouth and swallow my stupid blood sugars sky rocket. 4 oz of orange juice is a spike to 289, an apple...200. . The best I can do is have a slice or two of an apple and cover with insulin. Anyone who has watched me eat quickly realizes that at max I eat 1200 calories a day over a period of 12 hours in very small amounts. The average small apple is 110 calories, and 17 g of carbohydrates, 13 of which are from sugar with only 3g of fiber. Forget about grapes, bananas, strawberries, figs, dates, blackberries, raspberries and other yummies. I actually get less calories and sugar from a teaspoon of apple jelly..10 g of carbohydrate and with the natural fruit by polaner and others a better deal.

YHMA..plain yogurt has 18 g of carbohydrates, 17 from sugar per serving. A sqaure of Gheridelli creamy milk chocolate or dark chocolate bar is 6 grams, a full serving of 4 pieces is 26 with 2 g of fiber. Take the carbohydrate total and subtract the fiber to know what you are really getting. The ADA has revised their reccomendations for the diabetic diet. You can find information about carbohydrates and diabetes here : http://www.diabetes.org/food-nutrition-lifestyle/nutrition/meal-planning/carbs-and-diabetes.jsp and a food advisor here: http://www.diabetes.org/food-nutrition-lifestyle/nutrition/my-food-advisor.jsp . Exercise will help even if it is walking 30 minutes a day at a brisk pace.

The best advice I can give is..walk away from the junk food, up your proteins and lower your carbs and roughage (salads and greens). Check for Dreamfields Pasta at your local market ( low glycemic but YUMMIE) and eat SMALL meals several times a day. If you drop in at Mcdonalds often step away from the Big Mac meal and order the Kids meal with Chicken McNuggets..as an example, then ditch the sauce. Oh and something I have found important as a diabetic..read the serving size information. Things that look like they are a single serving, often are NOT.  Example..frozen lasagna individual serving size package, if you read the package often 1/2 of that package is a serving, so if you are going to eat the whole thing, double the carbs.

I hate that I have been gone so long and that I missed the wedding of the century. I hate that life took it's toll, but some good things happened in between life and more life.

Congrats to the Pirate and the GreedyOne sorry I missed well everything!

i do steer clear of all your wedding talk yet it's hard not to when it's all everyone talks about these days especially in the random stupid section.

thank you, my wedding will run and go smoothly in Vegas.

now if you want to hear about the negativity - perhaps you should look at your guest list and go on from there.

Samba,

......*snipped the only way i know how to snip*

I will tell you, though, in my prior experience as a bridal consultant, there WILL always be glitches or miscalculated things that happen along the way.  There's also a lot of emotion as people spend basically 2 or 3 days together, all wanting to do their parts.  So, if anyone got frazzled throughout their stay in FL, who cares?  There was no blood shed - not even in the wreck that totaled the car - we're all still posting, we're all still texting and emailing and calling each other on the phone.  So, if any feathers got ruffled down there, it's no different than any other event, and people got over themselves and had fun.  Therefore, your comment that it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns, basically speaks to any given day, in any given location.  It was though, one of the most incredibly warm, loving, bonding, caring, joyful occasions that I have had the pleasure to be a party to, and I am proud that I was there and got to meet so many I hold in high regard.  If that type of warm fuzzy irks you, I'm sorry... it makes my heart happy, and I'm glad to see people still basking in the afterglow.

Since you weren't there, any "tales" you may have about the weekend would be best sifted through a bullshit screen or discussed with the bride or groom.  If you aren't willing to "put it out there" or "give up the tapes," it does come across as stirring up shit that you can't speak to, from first hand knowledge.  It also reads as bitterness and resentment, which you say isn't the case.  However, it's surely the reflection that's appearing in the mirror.

Sincerely,
Red

Brava!...

Up your roughage intake...Leafy salads, crunchy broccoli, celery etc. but don't drench them in salad dressings. Oil and vinegar is good, the creamy ones are high in fats and carbs, even the low cal. I checked out the JitB extreme sausage sandwich..didn't see one without sausage..and the carbs on 1 is 31 give or take a gram and 670 calories EACH...this means that for 2 you are taking in 62 grams of carbs on average, and if the ice tea has no sugar in it ( I drink mine with nothing in it at all) you are adding another 2 carbs unless you add sugar and then each of those packets is 10 carbs. That would be total for 1 meal at Jack in the Box 82 carbs and 1340 calories. Most of us diabetic type II women require no more than 1600 calories a day most of which you just had in those 2 sandwiches. You can get more information here http://www.endocrineweb.com/diabetes/treatment.html . Fruited Yogurt ( including Yoplait Light) has an average of 17 g of sugar per 6 oz serving.  No fat but you are still getting a hefty dose of sugar/carbs.

Now here is the trick..you may not be aware of just how many carbs and calories you take in daily. A good program I use is Calorie Balance Tracker (free) http://www.download.com/Calorie-Balance-Tracker/3000-2129_4-10761923.html. Weigh your food, measure it out and be honest and you will be surprised at how many calories and carbs you take in on a daily basis.

PM...I know what you mean with the neuropathy..I am actually trying to stay out of a wheelchair...sigh. My balance is horrid and if I can't see the floor I will fall...We are currently training Komodo to act as a brace and guide for when I start drifting..(Service Training). It doesn't affect my driving, but I walk like I am drunk. Large open spaces it isn't as noticable, but put me in a store aisle and I crash against the shelves...

I hate it when my primary computer decides to have "issues" in the middle of a backup and I've been stuck using a ten-year old OS in trying to read and respond to C-mails today. Obviously, it doesn't work so well.

I'll respond tomorrow to those who messaged me today.

You can always wear a generic one...

What clan luv?

Gwyn,
Who has sewn most of Trimarian's kilts for the last 15+ years.

Crawford :)

ITs not too bad but I have been told that the color makes me look sickly

Well the motto is a good one!

Tutum te robore reddam (I will give you safety by strength)

Well there are so many of the tartans... I like the blue/green one. http://www.tartan-finder.com/Crawford_Clan_Shop.htm  like on this one http://www.highlandclans.co.uk/Kilt_Rare_Tartans.html#Kilt-MWEOR1 the other one is too x-masy.
