I know, Linnaea.... My dad's in alcohol dementia and has been for years. It hurts but it happens. You'll soon be home in your own bed, living your own life, sweetie!

Thanks Tulip. i do really appreciate that. i know that i have to cut back drastically on sugar and caffeine. Hopefully that will put the depression and anxiety back within the realm of my control. i will also have to drop at least 3 lbs to avoid some of the aching and pain that are happening now. ~smiles~ My lady cooks a little too well, or maybe i just enjoy it a little too much. It will come right one way or another.

Linnea, he yells at you because you're safe to yell at. You won't abandon him if he does that. He's hurting and scared and needs to take it out on someone safe. And that's you.

In a funny way, this is a sign that he knows just how trustworthy and loving you are. But yes, it's a major pita. Rain, my dad also has alcoholic dementia.

Thanks for this reminder. I have issues about being yelled at though, so I have to constantly remind myself of what you're saying. Cuz otherwise I feel very much oike abandoning the old phart!!!
