I admit to being lonely and tired.

I admit that a good old FT slurp should have me back on my feet. Or is it flat on my back?

Status: offline 		I admit that DCNovice is a lucky boy indeed....  Feds had liberal leave today....  I'm local government.....and dammit...we NEVER close on account of snow. 

I was really hoping to do the pajama dance, too.

I admit...I'm essential personnel during emergencies...so I rarely get to do the pajama dance.....unless they find someone else to take the first shift...

I admit... I used to do a killer kool pajama dance on snow days....

Status: offline 		I admit that I just got a text from my office manager, which has left me in tears. She still isn't home after nearly 7 hours. She's stuck at a gas station with the snow plow drivers because they have closed all the roads going where she lives.

I admit that I tried calling her over and over this afternoon to tell her to start home but all the cell phone towers were set to "Emergency Only" or "No Service" even with all five bars of signal showing.

I admit that I asked her 5 hours ago to come to my place and stay the night and go home in the morning, but she was going to try to get there before they shut the roads down. She didn't... and right now, my heart is breaking for her. She has a hubby and little Things at home waiting for her safe return. If anyone wants to send a prayer for her, I know that she would be grateful. She's more than my co-worker, she's my dear friend.

That's terrible!  Sending good thoughts.
FYI--has she tried texting?  Usually a text will go thru even when the phone/voice signals do not.
At least at a gas station she can take warm refuge where there is a restroom, heat, fuel and maybe a small convenience store.  So for now, take comfort that she is someplace safe.  It stopped snowing here, so maybe those plow drivers will get back to the roads, and she'll be able to make it home safe and sound.

I know it's no replacement for family or friends, but a gas station is a pretty good option. we've had motorists stranded in their vehicles along dark highways with no food, water, toilet, blankets or fuel.  I always lecture that folks should always keep an emergency supply kit in their vehicle this time of year including handwarmers, blankets, flashlight, toilet paper, power bars, etc.

I admit it he left work at 5pm & is only to Tyson's Corner now & that he only moved about 100 yeards in the hour that we were texting.

I admit it this is ridiculous!!!  I don't understand how something like this seems to catch everyone with their fuckin pants down, so to speak.

I admit it we live in a highly populated area.  One would think we lived in Bumfuck, Wyoming or something.
