I admit... our streets aren't even close to being plowed either.... looks like tomorrow I find out if my 4WD was worth it... I think we got about 10 inches of snow on top of yesterday's 3 inches....

I admit my boss texted me....took her about 2+ hours to get home when it normally takes 20 minutes....what a mess!!!

edited to add: looks like we're on Liberal Leave tomorrow! hope I don't get called in....warming up the pajama dance... haven't seen anything on the fed offices yet DCNovice...

I admit that the weather everyone North of me is getting this evening is reminding me why I moved Souf.

I admit that I wonder what a snow-Troll looks like. I admit that I am very glad to know this Troll, with or without snow.

I admit that there were four pages of admits in my absence. You kids have been busy this evening..

I admit that I love big white cocks, especially this one from TN..

I admit that certain words on my profile on the other side are a smokescreen, that serve to keep the wolves away from my door.

..and in other news..

I admit that my '94 Blazer caught on fire this evening with Himself at the wheel and His daughter riding shotgun, on His way to work.
I admit that He just so happened to drive over a big puddle in the road, while trying to get OFF the road, with the interior of the vehicle filling with black smoke, just before the flames reached the gas tank.
I admit that the resulting (((splash))), duly timed thereto, put out the fire on the undercarriage.
I admit that everyone is ok, and not only that, the vehicle survived also and is undergoing repairs at my in-laws' garage, and we may have her back as early as tomorrow evening.

I admit that I am feeling pretty darn grateful this evening..

I admit that I tried texting during that time I was on the road, and all those texts were blocked.

I admit that I ended up going on my email to send a message to my boss to try calling the office (landline) from her home phone (landline). My ofc mgr had already left when that email went through.

I admit that I was thankful that I had a gazillion blankets in the back of my car (my ex's linens), a huge bag of pretzels, my ice scraper, and a 12-pack of soda this evening. I also had a full tank of gas.

I admit that I had suggested that she turn around earlier to get gas before she started up the mountain and she didn't and nearly got caught on the road with no gas.

I admit that she said that she has company at the gas station, which does have a potty and a food mart. (Thank God)

I admit that this is the sort of thing that makes me HATE the effing snow!!!!!!!

I admit that I may have stated my hatred of snow once or twice on these boards.

I admit that thundersnow and lightning is truly creepy. It made me jump when it started this afternoon, around 2 p.m. my time.

I admit that we got our white out about 4 p.m.

I admit that I don't know how much snow we have, but it's too much.

I admit that I wish I were somewhere warm like CA now.

and this is 100% true. I swear it.
my first houseboy position--I was accepted into a household consisting of S/M lesbian bikers and strippers in S.F. [sorry straight guys, it's true. butch bois get all the fun!] They met me to see if they wanted to sublet out their little room to me for the summer....it was late and I missed the last train back to El Cerrito where I was crashing at an old college roomie's place... so they let me stay on the couch for the night. When I woke up in the morning.....all four cats were piled on top of me....and all the household were standing there, staring at me sleeping. They let me move in, and told me it was because I was the first person that all of the cats actually liked!

I admit that I just received a call from a friend of mine. The house she's been living in is on fire and she and her 3 year old asthmatic grandson are standing out in the snow, watching it burn. I admit that she's worried about her cat, because she only had time to grab her grandson and get out.

I admit that I hate that she's 2 hours away, all the way on the other side of the state! ARRGHHH...

I admit that I'm so very thankful they are at least safe - and that I have room for them if they need a place. I just have to figure out how to get them here!

I admit that i've been trying to talk her into coming to stay with me, to get her out of that house and away from the guy she was staying with - but I never wanted her to be in the position she is now.

I admit that I'm rambling (so to speak) because I'm so freaking worried!

I've been to lots and lots of fires (I'm a volunteer firefighter) and many times the cats and dogs get out long before the people do, so I truly will say a prayer for them that their loved ones are all safe. Hopefully the fire dept will contact a service agency to help get them placed for the night someplace warm. How terribly tragic.
