I admit to being spookily spooked - a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses rang the bell this morning (tossers; they had to walk half a mile up the drive just to get to the door only to be told to go away) and then within moments they appear again in a CM thread. Odd. And last night I sat through 4 episodes of West Wing only to find comment this day in a CM thread. Odd.

Sometimes life's coincidences just amaze.

Sorry to hear you're poorly RF - I hope you move to the sunlit uplands of rude good health soon (or as far uphill as the constant pain thing allows). Might watching a porn video take your mind off things?

I admit I'm grateful for the well-wishing.

This is going to sound odd, but I further admit that porn does nothing for me these days ... I'm guessing here, but I think once you've pretty much done it all in real life, you get a sort of a "booooooorrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnngggggg!" thing when watching porn.

Or at least I do.

Or maybe I've just got older and (more) boring. Dunno.

I admit that's not a word that's generally associated with me, unless it's in the context of "I'll tell you one thing that RF isn't ... sophisticated!" ;)

In all honestly though, and whisper it quietly, yeah; I am a bit of a dichotomy. I'm sort of part Neanderthal, part sophisticate :)

I admit I must agree with you. I had a MRSA infection that went to the bone. They put me on antibiotics so new they were almost experimental, when both vancomycin and televancin didn't get it.

I'm on oxycontin and oxycodone... trust me, they work just fine. You might look into poppy pod tea if you ever run low...

Looks good. What I would say is I've got 2 very good traditional butchers in my area (central-SW London) and neither of them get within a mile of Donald Russell (only on beef joints - the rest of their stuff, especially pork, is fantastic); I suspect that the "draining" thing has become de rigueur nowadays, whereas the DR joints produced smashing dripping, which to me says they're not being drained, maybe?

That Allens one looks a little more expensive, but then I'm not sure I'm comparing like for like. Lovely web site, mind, and I'd be tempted.

Let me know once you've done a comparison - I'd be interested to know your opinion as you seem to appreciate the good stuff, and you'll have had both by then.

It's just she was supposed to be kneeling on rice and instead she's buggered off to sleep - the girl needs punishing and mental anguish can be just as good as sore knees.

lol! Sounds good to me ... although how would we use 2 x 10 person joints of meat with only 4 people? That's a lot of rare roast beef sandwiches though ... would make for a great day after :) Although I guess we could get something smaller, but it's that rib roast that's the killer ... like the Donald Russell site says "the butcher's favourite roast".

But yeah, I'm always happy to entertain, so count me in. My flat’s pretty small though (although very homely & cosy), so we’d all need to squeeze in :)

I admit wrecking my car on an icy road was not a good move.

I admit that I'm very sorry for your hassles, and wish some cops would show some common sense.

In the UK, if there are no other injured parties, and no damage to "street furniture" (i.e. telegraph poles, street lights or whatever) then you don't even have to report the accident, let alone hang around.

I admit I’d also get that shoulder looked at, if I were you, just in case.

Thanks RF. Actually the police couldnt have been nicer..even spending time with the LoudOne to make sure he understood that accidents sometimes happen when the roads are bad.

I guess the property damage was a factor in the charges.
