Status: offline 		Im looking for a sterling silver lock, preferably heart shaped. I havent been able to find one... It has to be sterling because it is for a 24/7 collar and the other metireals give me rashes!! And it has to be able to lock with a key Thank you all very much for what ever help you can give me

Status: offline 		Does it have to be heart shaped?  Does the key have to be a traditional key or can it be a device which acts as a key?  I ask, because I've seen some collars that are locking, available in sterling (if I remember correctly), but they are not heart shaped locks and they do not have a traditional style key.

edited to add:  Have you considered speaking with a jeweler?  Often times jewelers can make custom jewelry and the only explantion necessary would be the romantic "I want to give him the key to my heart" if any was needed at all.

Status: offline 		Thank you, but Im not looking for an entire new collar just the lock and I would prefer to keep the chian I have as it is good for everyday wear and easily broken if an emergency arises... as for the jewler I just think that would be very very expensive.

Status: offline 		:( This has become a rather frustrateing search!!! I dont mean to seem so picky but non of those locks are actually sterling silver.. at this point I dont much care the shape just that is is sterling sivler and actually locking with a key...

I dont know would the plateing last so that it could weather things like the pool and stuff because that might work!!!

Status: offline 		True sterling silver locks are rare, and expensive.
We have had several requests for them and are in the process of making the carvings for the molds. But wont be offering tham anytime soon.
We carry the nickle plated ones made in Italy, but havent been able to source real sterling ones at a reasonable price.

Status: offline 		try here...www.purplepassion.com.....I know they have locks wrapped in sterling that use a real key.They are very pretty,can be engraved and worn daily( in the pool,shower etc) for years without much damage.They run about $50 ish dollars. Hope this helps!

Status: offline 		Clear nail polish applied onto metal can protect the skin from allergies. It is an inexpensive way to quick fix it while your search continues. Just remember to apply often.

Status: offline 		Shop4me2.com has aTiffany heart lock.  Its great.  I have it on the heavy chain they offer, but they also offer one on a light weight sterling chain if you want just the lock.  I LOVE my heart lock necklace, I wear it all the time.  Check it out and let me know!
