Latex - quite frankly - you are WRONG. You are expecting people to believe that a 50 year of who has been practising BDSM since they were 49 and only once a week has far more experience than a 20 year old who has been practising since they could be legal (in the UK that would be 16) with a mentor who is say - a whipmaster? Latex, I firmly believe that a 20 yr old can be Dom, and that a 20 yr old can have more experience, in certain areas. Baring a mental condition, a 50 yr old will have more overall experence in life. BTW I can think of a 26 year old that I would feel more comfortable with as president than any of the jokers that are running.

Not everyone starts in the lifestyle when they are young and some people jump in with both feet when they are very young. A 50 year old probably has more experience but it's by no means a certainty.

this is interesting I see this conflict a lot on other sites.. i still have to disagree... here is why ( if you come across a submissive with emotional triggers or baggae you can do more damage then good...cause it is the life experince that helps you to problem solve ) now Darcy is right about experince. even the top level uk doms dommes will tell you that it takes years to really master your skills on any side of the fence.. can a 20 year old dom be better then a 50 year old dom if he has one year equal to maybe... but not if the 50 year old has 30 something years real time experince. history is always a good teacher on that one. ask some of the older subs if they would be kept by a 20 year old dom.. this could be interesting

There are plenty folk here, our age and older, that have less experience than many of those who have found their way here at 20. I can quite honestly, and without reserve, say that it is very possible that a 20 year old could have more experience in any specific area, such as BDSM, than I do at age 45.

I always laugh at these debates I see the experience arguments used by old men as merely a way to entice young women who’d learn just as much from reading a book anyway. We all need to justify ourselves in this lifestyle thesedays it seems.

Latex - this is the .dark. posting - hence the signature at the bottom. We aren't necessarily speaking about a 50 year old having 30 years experience. We are discussing why someone thinks that just because they have 'realtime' experience of say - 10 years and they are 50 doesn't make them more knowledgeable than a 30 year old (for example) with the same time of experience just because they are 50. That 50 year old could be crap at learning anything. They could be inept at dealing with any emotional issues. Or crap at holding and using a flogger because they just are. Being 50 doesn;'t make you greater at processing the knowledge you have been subjected to. Peace the.dark. (and being 37 doesn't mean I am any more improved at typos...)

What does learning from your reverse orientation have to do with experience and age? I cannot see anything there that mentions anything relevant to your claim. Maybe you could post a snippet of what we are suppose to be reading? Peace the.dark.

Women complain constently about "men" over 50 who still can't think with the brain above their waist and there are 45 year old women who don't have a clue how to survive in life without someone helping them. It really just depends on the person.
