sounds like you've just had gentle/good experiences with it. face slapping can be every bit as dangerous as punching, it all depends on where the strike lands and the intensity of it. i've had black eyes (both at once one time...that was great trying to explain to people) from being slapped in the face, a myriad of bruises, and sometimes when he gives me a really firm one i lose my hearing for a minute or so, or my ears will be ringing/buzzing for a while.
Daddy'sProp, from what I've observed you're allowed very little control over your circumstances, but I'd be careful. Not that I find this little detail any more disturbing than the string of rapes you've apparently suffered in his service due to the liberties he allows others with you which I failed to comment on, but there's no question of potential for long-term trauma if you're losing your hearing after these blows.
But I'm glad you raised the point of safety issues which have scarcely been addressed so far, in this thread in any account. The potential for trauma is fairly significant in cases of carelessness, overzealousness, and of course with those who are simply outright abusive. And people might be surprised how little it can take to cause damage to the special senses localized in and near the face. And I join my opinion with that of many here who have said that even when it causes little damage it is still evocative of violence precisely because the outcome of the genuine act is so unpredictable and thus contemptuous of the other person's well-being. I won't say there can't be any subjective exceptions to the rule, but we are generally programmed to prioritize the safety of our face above just about all other concerns to avoid injury, making slapping perhaps the most commonly employed human tool to instill fear in another person. If it does something for you, all well and good, I suppose, but I consider the impulse in most circumstances as a character flaw, at least when the slapee is the notably more defenseless person. But then, I'm not above whipping a girl, so bear that in mind...But like others here have said, there are so many better targets that are much better suited to the attention.
On a lighter note, I find that a flick of the finger on the forehead puts just as much focus into the eyes of a girl (and probably fire too, if that's what you're looking for) as does a slap. Even more on average if you factor in concussions. ;)
