What do you think? It seems to me I see a lot of Bisexual/Poly/Switch identification going on. Curious to know what others have observed.

Distinctly hetero here, and would be squicked by a bi- partner.

Polyamory, however...

So far I believe I’m totally mono, and I’m bi-leaning towards hetero.

I always had bi feelings but didnt act on them until I got divorced.   Being bi means you have double the number of potential partners lol!

I am a hetero male for the most part. However due to my current obsession with being a sub and the subsequent strap-on play involved, I am also interested in hooking up with passable trannies. But the tranny has to really look like a woman for it to turn me on. Does that make me bi?

That's me! Well, sorta. I have no experience with poly relationship models, but have been inching along in that direction over time.

As for if switches are "generally" anything in particular, probably no more or less so than any other group.

I think that it all grows on you a bit. This seems intriguing... and then this makes sense... and by this point I might as well...

For me though, I've found that I'm actually going in reverse: I'm far less bisexual than I was in the past (though I'll still consider scening with a guy), I'm much less poly (though still actively opposed to marriage as practiced) and my "switchiness" is much more constrained than when I was in my early 20s.

Do I see others in an expansive mode? Yup. Me, I'm just centripedal...

Why is it thou a Male Switch or a Male Dom being poly isnt greedy yet a Female Switch often seen as either confused she only needs a good flogging make her sub !!! or She is greedy wishing Poly

Very true. We are all people just like everyone else. We all have our likes and dislikes.

personally I AM all three but I wouldn't say that it's a norm. Maybe it's a mindset that comes with all of them that allows for the others to follow, though.

I think for there to be all three there would, obviously, have to be the added caveat of KINK, and I know plenty of poly and bi people (not necessarily both poly and bi but one or the other) who are not kinky and thus not switches.

Well, there goes that theory. But it was fun getting the answers.

As far as being greedy... HELL  YEAH! I was married (faithfully for 22 years) I feel like I'm at an International Smorgasborg after eating at Denny's for 20 years.

Maybe it's a phase that will pass. Who knows, I just hope it's not soon!!!! :D

Briefly, it's my experience that bisexuality seems to be more along gender lines than role.  I'd also say submissive males are more likely to be bisexual than dominant males; my guess is that male bisexuality is simply the most taboo of all gender preferences; gay men and lesbians have their support system amongst themselves, and heterosexual men lend a good deal of support to bisexual women, leaving bisexual men...well, flapping in the wind it seems.

But I haven't recognized switches being more or less likely to be bisexual.

Stephan

I'm a switch, that much is obvious. *lol*
I'm Mono but have been sliding towards Poly for a little while now, not that previous owners haven't pushed that onto me in the past. *cough*
Bisexual to an extent..? Working on anal-play with my current owner soon, I'll say that much.
That's me in a nutshell.

And I'll say this too.
Bi-Switch-Poly people = greedy -And- fun!
