Hi!

well, i don't feel anything at all when i ovulate, but i get incredibly insatiably horny when i am on my period, heh-heh. Hmmm, maybe i ovulate when i am on my period — or maybe i don't ovulate anymore at all....

vampchick88 -> RE: Do you feel ovulation when it happens? (1/5/2008 7:28:59 AM)

I'm soooo glad I've found this thread. I'm able to feel myself ovulate by the slight pinch in either of my sides. Doctors have told me its all in my mind that its impossible, while one said its rare but happens.  At least I know I'm not alone.

Has anyone ever felt more than one ovulation pain during a month?

pamela700 -> RE: Do you feel ovulation when it happens? (1/19/2008 10:10:22 AM)

not only do i frequently feel ovulation (but not every time) as a strong pinch or sometimes more like a punch for an hour or two, i notice smells and tastes more vividly, i sometimes get nauseous or have not quite diarrhea just after. and always hornier just thereafter. guys notice me more too, i think it's a pheromone thing.

stranger still, the one time i got pregnant, i actually 'felt' fertilization. i didn't know what i was experiencing at that moment, but i was driven to draw a picture. (i'm not an artist by any means, i usually use words if creative or reaching for a pen and paper). i drew this picture that looked like a very vibrant sun, with lots of little squiggly lines coming out of a concentric circle-y thing. about 2 weeks later, i started getting very dizzy and nauseous. and then i realized what i had drawn. sadly, i miscarried a few weeks later, but still...i've never heard ANYONE else say they felt when they conceived so clearly (or really even at all).

perhaps some of us are just more in-tune with our bodies than others?

---p, give me some advil liqui-gels, tea, heat and a bit o chocolate. it helps me at ovulation, too! (not just when pms-ing)

I also get... um... okay, how to say this without sounding like I'm providing monkey-spanking fodder... screw it.  I get a lot wetter than normal.  MaamJay referred to it as "egg-white secretion" and that's what I'm sticking with, as well.  I learned the hard and embarassing way to not wear light pants if I've got that going on.

And my sex drive goes through the freaking roof.  Then again mine is usually pretty high so that's a bit harder to notice for me.

yep. same here.

No, most of the time females cannot feel ovulation.  Most everyone in this thread appears to be talking about when they menstrate and get cramps.  .

that's funny, because mine must be on a two week delay then...no offense but i think i know my own body well enough to be able to tell the difference between when i'm menstrating or not.

Mittelschmerz is real and any doctor who says it isn't needs to go back to school. It's been documented for well over 50 years.

It's very rare to drop more than one egg a month but it does happen. People have gotten pregnant a week apart from that. But the odds of that are one in several million.

And yes, I know exactly when I got pregnant with my youngest. I have never had that strong an urge for sex before or since. Grabbed my ex, shoved him up against the refridgerator door, had a quickie and 20 minutes later the painters arrived and we left for vacation, with me positive I was pregnant. But nothing like that with my first.

I expeirenced similar symptoms but then when i started having other issues besides pain during ovulation, pain during sex didnt matter what position, and mood swings and acne breakouts and dark patches I knew there was more to it than ovullation. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrom. Having only one ovary left it made the impact even greater and ovulation extremely painful. Now since being on medication, not only has the pain gone away but so has the acne and the other symptoms are going away as well. That was the best $25 dollars I spent on an office visit to find out it was something real and told we can fix this.

smiddenkidden -> RE: Do you feel ovulation when it happens? (1/20/2008 9:17:35 PM)

i used to feel ovulation nearly every month.  in fact, i recall feeling the ovulation that would be my son....also felt the implantation of the egg.  i didn't realize that was what it was at the time...i just knew i felt something sharp in the exact place i would say the front of my uterus is...turns out that's exactly where the placenta was attached to.  now that i'm a midwife, i hear these stories all the time.....all i knew at the time was that something was up and it was very different from anything i'd known before.... *sighs*  if only i'd known how different it really was, LOL!  *not that i would have done anything different.  ...that little terror is the love of my life*  but, after having a baby, i've realized i don't feel it any more.   and certainly  not now that i have Mirena implanted...i don't even HAVE a period any more. *woot*

not only can i feel the ovulation, but the other body changes are so obvious i have the answer as to why i am suddenly so totally crazed for sex!
yes, we notice.

girlygurl -> RE: Do you feel ovulation when it happens? (2/3/2008 7:51:58 PM)

Oh yea, I feel it alright. Ouchie. For me, it feels like someone has a hold of my ovaries and twisting the crap out of them and with very hot hands. Some months are worse than others, but those ruff months will have me curled up in a ball. A heating pad helps a little.

About a week before my period I'm the horniest lilslut... I swear [8D] ummmm I'll leave it at that.

People are even referring to both ovaries ovulating...while that is not what is happening either.

trust me on this one...i KNOW when i ovulate. I can feel it, it is a mild cramping sensation. Since we were trying to concieve i was able to know exactly when the right time was. Two weeks later i had a positive EPT. Four weeks after that we found out we are having twins in Nov.
And, please Sub4hire, most of us do know the difference between ovulating and starting a period.

lusciouslips19 -> RE: Do you feel ovulation when it happens? (3/29/2008 11:44:27 AM)

hen I was younger I felt it every month. Now that I am older no. I would get stabbing localized pain in my ovaries.

MissAngelandsub -> RE: Do you feel ovulation when it happens? (3/29/2008 8:25:15 PM)

Just recently I have noticed that about halfway through my cycle...I get pain for about an hour where it hurts to sit down and hurts to pee. I only get super horny when I am on my period...which makes no sense to me. I also notice more discharge in that area than normal only enough to notice when I go to the bathroom.
