Im comfertable with my body, to an extent, and feel it would be good to boost my self esteem, just a little higher.

Even though I don't have anyone to prance around for, I'd like to buy myself a few peaces of lingerie.

Heres the thing though, is there anything actually "sexy" out there, for bigger girls? I can't wear all that miss-skinny-minny stuff. As much as I wish I could.

Ive found a few nice items, but their not really sexy, and their just sort of vanilla.

any ideas?

www.torrid.com has some good stuff to. My wife owns a couple of items from there and she is HAWT in them

edited to add: torrid is not spacificly a lingerie store you will have to click on "intimates" If you search around the site there is quite a bit of sexy outfits on the site.

I used to work in sexy lingerie/oils/shoes/lubes store without porn or sex toys. We had a section for plus sized that had many of the items we had in more popular sizes, plus stockings, underwear, large cup bras and costumes. If there is a similar store in your area, I'd reccomend looking there.

Yeah, I understand the thinking on that. But I know that even with working out everyday, and having lost a lot a weight, that I will always be a big girl. As is said..."if you got it, flaunt it."

Anyone can find something to look sexy in, even it can't involve itty-bitty two peaces.

I totally disagree! I think larger women can look divine in corsets and the like. Better than slender women, in fact.

I agree with DarkLovelyDomme, I would much rather see a "thickchick" in a corset or lingerie, then a "skinnyminny"

I'll second, third and fourth that one LadyLinx. the biggest 2 problems with plus size lingerie is that most of it in North America is out of Shirley's of Hollywood or is owned by SoH, and they don't really go beyond a 44. the other big problem is a lot of it is "regular" sized lingerie "upsized" for the plus market and it just doesn't fit well. (my wife is a 18 top and 24 bottom. makes it damn hard to find her sexy things.)

I really need to clean up my lingerie bookmarks and post them.

girl is not "big" per se, but she is surely not small. her Master seems to think she looks good in all kinds of stuff, thank god. girl can recommend body stockings as they seem to stretch to accomodate all the extra skin girl has been saving up *grins*, and fishnet seems to look good on everyone. girl works at Spencer's, we have bodystockings year round, but extra "costume" type clothes this time of year, for Halloween. Try wrapping a length of sheer silky stuff around your pertinent parts, or a sheer cloth robe - girl has seen pics of bigger women in those type things that made her drool *drool*. For her own part, you don't look that big to girl, do you live in the West of the US, by chance? *winks* Corsets can be found in all sizes, Hot Topic in your local mall has some that should squeeze nicely in your middle, tho girl recommends standing up as much as possible in them, sitting makes them tighter!

I'm a big girl myself... and I think that women with curves can look EXTREMELY sexy in lingerie if they wear the 'right' stuff... the sight that I think has very classy sexy stuff is www.hipsandcurves.com its got anything from leather/bondage type stuff to regular sexy lingerie... best of luck in your search :) I know how you feel.

Personally I think just about anyone looks more attractive if they are fit. I'm not saying people that have a few extra pounds are not attractive, but they could be more attractive. I think people could make more of an effort than they currently are to get into shape in the BDSM community. One thing I don't like is that when I attend meetings, and I've attended them in a few different places in the US, almost the majority of people who attend are substantially overweight. Now, what they do with their own body is none of my business, but I think it would encourage more people to join the lifestyle if they didn't see so many unfit people. There are so many unfit people in the lifestyle that it is becoming stereotypical, and that stereotype discourages many people from developing an interest they might otherwise naturally have had. Anyway, I will await the flames about "big people are beautiful". I'm just saying, if 99% of people in the community kept themselves fit, we'd have a lot more interested people coming to meetings.

I hope you brought your flame retardant suit, dude. Your commentary is really irrelevant to this thread.

Anyway, what I think is more important than what size someone is, is what people do with what they have. I've been on both ends of the fence, in younger years I had the proverbial 36-24-36 measurements.... these days, well, the proportions are the same, but the numbers are a bit different.

I know women that are plus sized that are smokin' hot, because they know how to work with their body and are confident and comfortable in their skin. I also know thin women that are rather plain Jane, because even though they might have a more socially "ideal" structure, they don't work it and they let their clothes wear them as opposed to the other way around. Again, with my experience from both the typical BAMF! body type, to being bigger - I know that, yeah, it's a lot easier to find things that will make you look fabulous if you have more "ideal" measurements. Hell, it's hard to go wrong. I also know, however, that it's just as possible to be just as presentable and even sexy, maybe even moreso, with a more voluptuous figure. Sure, it's a little more complicated, and you have to put more thought into it - but it pays off.

As for the OP: You can never, ever go wrong with a good corset, in my not so humble opinion.... oh and garters. Corset, garters, maybe a babydoll chemise... as for where to find 'em, I could post links to cosetiers, though I'm not sure if that's really what you're looking for. :) I've seen a lot of good suggestions in this thread so it's hard for me to add!
