Also gave name to American state of Virginia after Elizabeth the first,the Virgin Queen) Sir Francis Drake (commander of Elizabeth the first's navy at the time of the Spanish Armada and part time Privateer/Pirate) Robert Falcon Scott (Scott of the Antarctic) Dawn French (comedian married to Lenny Henry) Wayne Sleep ( ballerina, a bloke who prances around in tights-in public) Judi Trott (SEXY!! Russell Simmons Kimora Lee Simmons Oh, yeah, and that 60-year-old woman who just had twins and was all over the news, lives there.

I am from Port Charlotte, which developed in the early 1950's as a coastal retirement community. The following famous people who attended high school are John Hall, a placekicker for the Washington Redskins, Anthony Hargrove, a defensive end for the Buffalo Bills and Chris Demakes who is a lead singer and guitarist for the band "Less than Jake." My town was hit by Hurricane Charley four years ago on Friday, August 13th and we are still facing some challenges today.

Nobody to speak of hardly...just a bunch of itinerant musicians, and some TV judge named Brown. Oh yeah, and some actress who used to work with Bruce Willis... and some writer named Lightman. [;)]

I grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts. I went to the Goodyear Elementary School which was named after Charles Goodyear who first vulcanised rubber. Also, Eric Bogosian the actor, I didn't know him but I'd see him walking downtown a lot, he was 3 years younger than me. And, my buddy Dave Robinson who went on to become the drummer for The Cars. Anytime a British Naval ship would pull into Boston his mother who was English would have a big party for them at the house. One time when I was stationed in Portland, Maine in the CG they played there and I called up his father Guy and got free tickets and back stage passes to the show.

I looked it up: Woburn, Mass also home to... Charles McMahon, Marine Corporal, last casualty in Vietnam and Philemon Wright, founder of Ottawa, Canada k that is spooky, I went to that highschool, near Ottawa.
