i was born & raised in Seattle, WA so the list is incredibly long...of course, searching on wiki for famous people from that area, i ran across Ted Bundy & got distracted & started reading all about him & was almost late for a date with my Master....EEEEK!!!!  thanks a bunch!

Well grew up in a small burb by the name of Berkley, Michigan, off the top of my head could only remember one famous person, Unfortunately can't remember his name.  Remember the guy who played Booger in the Nerds movies? (he was also in Moonlighting with Cyble Shepard and Bruce Willis.) He grew up in Berkley, graduated in I think '79 or '80.

A former friend used to swear up and down that Alice Cooper lived in Berkley and went to the high school. Never could find any proof.

Tommy Chong (of Cheech and Chong) dropped out of my first high school, and Dr Robert Thirsk the astronaut graduated from my other high school.

Edited to add: This is in Calgary, Alberta. We have many famous people from here, including a crapload of country stars (shockingly).

Born/raised in the hometown of The Jackson 5/Karl Malden, lived for many yrs. in the hometown of The Indianapolis Colts, Indy 500, Vivica Fox, Brendan Fraser, David Letterman, Mike Epps & a list of many others, now reside in the state where Don Ameche, Eric Heiden, Liberace, Spencer Tracy, Willem DeFoe, Orson Wells  & so many others are from.
