It is funny how is is viewed acceptable and good for males but for females it is viewed very negatively and demeaning.and that sex should only be part of a meaningful relationship. I went thru periods after a vary abusive marriage where I had no interest in seeking a long term relationship, if any thing the ocassional one night stands and casual play partners became part of the healing process and helped to teach me abuse did not have to part of the relationship , it also taught me I am not a victim that when involved in this type of relationship i am in a power position , it is not being forced on me or allowing them to take me but an equal at the time and in control if I want to continue and see the person I can if I don't I can use them to help satisfy my own sexual needs, so it helped to build my self esteem, some were very hot and exciting others rather dull and boring It is no longer the type of relationship I seek now but i have no regrets as it added to my library of experiences and help me learn and grow and try new things as I did not have to worry about the commitment baggage which I knew I was not ready for. I think the most important part for a women that decides to give it a try is not to view as being used because that is how you wil feel about yourself afterward but to view being an equal partner or even the user inorder to get something out of the experience. And as someone else said , it can be liberating, for me it has, I would not be here today if it had not been for those relationships as it helped open my mind to learning new experiences

I've had one night stands which were much better sex than some of my long term relationships. :) Best and most memorable was a guy I met in Ireland when I went up to Dubline on my way to mainland Europe. We both got put into the same hostel room- he was a hot California guy. Oddly enough I was just coming back from a failed date with a kinky guy I met online and he was just settling in. We talked for hours, went to a movie, he asked if he could kiss me in the elevator going back, we practically lunged to eachother and by the time we reached our room door, decided to get a real hotel room down the block. That actually turned into a two day stand.
