Is there any problems specific to submitting to a younger Dom/me? I'm referring to someone at least 10- years your junior.

No. Why do people keep asking this? I only date younger, therefore, submit to younger. It is the best. What would be the problem? No one seems to be able to explain this to me adequately. If chemistry exists, there is no problem.

There is nothing wrong with submitting to a younger Dom/me.  Granted, I don't exactly fit into this category, but I'm 29 and my mistress is 22.  If the Dom/me is mature for their age, responsible, and you click well with that person, then who cares if the Dom/me is younger.  My owner is very mature for Her age and quite responsible, too.  She manages to juggle a full-time job, college, time with Her mom and dad, and a full-time slave (me...yay!!!).  Age is just a number and a flogger swung by any Dom/me, younger or older, will always leave a mark;-)  Embrace your younger Dom/me because they will simply be around longer to love and torment you!  ;-)

Age is a compatibility things made up of many factors that can only be judged between the two people involved. Maturity and life stages are not singular concepts but just headings on multi aspects of a lot of things.

Anyone can think of from experience or just common sense what age differences may be a concern to think about but if or how big of a concern still is up to the two involved.

well I am 31, so the idea of submitting to a 21 yr old bugs me.

The only thing I can think of is that they will always see you as "older".  That could be good or that could be bad.  Plus the older one will always see them as "younger".    In other words,. the "age issue" will always be lurking in the back of both's  mind.

Older, younger... is in the perspective.

I do feel there is a cutoff.
21 year old as a Dom??  I would imagine it would be difficult for an older person to submit to someone who has little expierience in real life.

Veses if the Dom was 31 and the sub was .. say 45...  That 10 year differnce in age for the Dom is huge!!
Think about it.  At 21, what the heck did you know about Breathplay or reading the emotions of a bound person??  Let alone what hole the dildo goes in??

Generally, I date older men.  My current Dominant is only a few years older than me, but he has the traits I found attractive in older men---security , independence, maturity, a 'daddy' vibe, and a beard.

some might not however i would especially if that younger dom identifies himself as a "Daddy".   i cannot see myself submitting to a "Teen Daddy" dom who is 10 or more junior to me ...a Daddy type to me is someone who is a little older than i am.

Or not.  Maybe you need to experience the kind of relationships you're talking about before you can announce your opinions about them.  I've had many relationships with older subs and the "age issue" was not lurking in the back of our minds.

What's the "age issue," anyway?  The fact that one person is older than the other?  If you get two people, one will be older and one will be younger.  So any relationship will have an "age issue."

I just wanted to say that if there IS a cut off it is in maturity not in age, as long as its legal . I think you have a typo there and meant 21-45 not 31-45. As for maturity and knowledge there isn't any age limit on that. I knew and read all about this type of lifestyle when I was very young 14-15. Now I'm 25 and Aerith is 19. She is very mature and intelligent. She is smarter than many people I know who are a great deal older.

Yes, if you have a problem with it or they do, no if neither of you does.

My whole life, I only had relationships with older men. This one is the exception to the rule. Master is 25 and I am 39. I really thought the 14 years were going to be huge.  Turns out not to be an issue at all. Interestingly, it turns out to be really common here in this extended family and community.  Master's mother is 10+ years older than her husband of 15 years.  Master's sister is 9 years older than her parter of 8 years, and in the short 3 months that I have been in this area, I have met more than a dozen people in a relationship where the female is older than the male.  I'm from South Louisiana, where it isn't really common at all. My brother married an older woman (and they are still going strong 12 years later), but that was the only couple like that I knew.

Even when we lived in the south together, it didn't take long for me to shake my self consciousness about it.  Worried about whether people will think you are his mother while out in public? Keep your hand on his ass and they will know you aren't ;)

Respectfully,

Amy

P.S.  We aren't into any pain play at all, so that issue of experience with those kinds of toys is not an issue for us.

People age. What you thought was cool at 21, sucks when your 42. When there's a big age difference, the relationship is a temporary one. Yeah, I know somebody is going to post that even with a huge age difference, "we've been together for eons". That only means one of you hasn't grown up, yet.
