What is the real bible then ? Rome and Roman scholars (payed by the Pope) admit that they twisted the Bible to fit. We don't know the real bible as it was.

The "Real" bible, is the culmination of the man-made creation, which were numerous writings which were sifted through and sorted, some in and some out, put together finally as a result of the Nicean Council (as pointed out by MercnBeth earlier) in 410 A.D.

From there, the "real" bible was taken on and translated, according to divine convenience, by the remaining 4 Popes... to wit the 5 popes (total) argued for centuries in re: who really was and was not pope and who was the top dog pope.

The Alexandrian and Cartheginian popes finally gave in to the Roman pope under the argument of the "Peterine Doctrine". The other two popes ended up in a three-way war of words, wherein they each finally, in 1067 A.D., called each other heretics and excommunicated each other from the church. This "war" of iggying  each other lasted until 1967 when the 3 popes finally agreed to disagree and unexcommunicated each other whereby then the Roman Catholic Church, the Greek Orthodox Church, and the Russian Orthodox Church finally recognized each other.

Just a bit of history.

You forgot the Armenian Orthodox church which was established some 50 years before the counsel of Niccea.

Everyone forgets the Armenians..... *sob*

that it is against God to do any BDSM. Does anyone know why? Is it because of the sexual pleasure that they object to or is it something else? Thanks

But who really cares? "God" is a fantasy.

People need to stop using god as a scapegoat for their own ignorance and blind moralizing.

Well technically it wasn't Mercnbeth, it was Merctech -
But I am pedantic like that.

And yes - most people do forget the Armenians...

.the dark,

I've never heard of Lilith being created by fire.  I'll have to find that one.

I've heard that the story of Lilith is to explain the contradiction in Genisis where first God created man and woman and later he put Adam to sleep to extract the rib and make Eve.

Thank you.

Its so long - but I think its in the Alphabet of (and then the name escapes me) Sirach ?  And I know various pagan books that list Lilith as from Fire, but then that could always be another Lilith.  Meh - if names were as individual as people, it would make life so much easier...

I was raised heathen by a man who was Southern Baptist, though I was not raised without theology in my house, but it was the more cynical kind of teaching.

I've always had a thing for Catholics though-- such complexity of psyche.

OK-- it could be the same Lilith but a different lore, many pagens like their demi-gods to have been founded in nature.

the story im familiar with is that Lillith was created first for Adam, but not from Adam. therefore she had her own mind (god forbid!) so, she was sent away and Eve was created from Adams rib to compliment and obey him.
Later, or elsewhere, Lillith was hurting and angry over her mistreatment and became the Goddess of Death and Destruction.
(this is taken from a book i have that is upstairs so im not going to go get it to quote lol)
she is also my second um and let me tell you she can rip some shit up!!!!

If that's true, who created the religions? Are ALL religions created by God?

No. Religions are created by man.  After all not all religions refer to god.
