I simply complimented someone for how they looked in their picture. Then she replied with this long message about what she looks for in a slave, blah blah blah. Anyways, the message as a whole isn't my point. She ended the message with how she requires a tribute of at least $10 to be her slave. I told her that I'm not interested in paying for this lifestyle. I'm not a cheap guy at all, I just don't believe in it..maybe a polite dinner or taking her out somewhere nice..but she clearly just wanted money. Anyways, I was polite about it and got a response of her telling me how I'm pathetic, and a fake, and how I will never be a true slave if I can't give up control of my money. Now, I don't really care about the name calling. It just strikes up some curiosity what what the majority of Doms might think about this situation. Do you think that a submissive that decides to give his mind and body up, rather than his money, cannot become a slave at all with this mentality?

For some yes, for some no.

Obviously to be her slave requires such. To be other people's slave it might not.

i have found that most are after your money or your things these days.
it wasnt NEARLY as bad 10 years ago as it is now... OMG.

i think the lifestyle is going down the drain with this idea of paying for it. to few want to find someone to love, cherish, and adore. they only want you as property.

There are some femdoms who kind of get an erotic thrill out of actually *paying* a man to submit and don't expect him to even pay half or his own way. Who would believe that!? :)

But yeah, some "femdoms" require a tribute to prove sincerity, but often, they are just women looking to make easy money. You can always respond that you are happy to make a $10 donation to a charity in her name and send her proof of it. That should take care of the problem.

Sure. I'd be more inclined to believe they were scam artists if they wanted 100 dollars. I'm more likely to believe that 10 bucks is just a person with a money kink who wants to see if that will be met and got pissy when turned down, as many do.

i'd be suspicious if i were you, tho... ten bucks is pretty cheap for getting a Woman to take on a male slave. Make sure you get the slavery in advance- only chumps pay first. Just tell her you'll gladly pay her Tuesday for some dominance today.

Hello touchofeuphoria. The ten bucks are just bait on the hook. The actual price is much more unless your dominant does volume.

If you want to give all your money, marry a nice "traditional vanilla stay at home girl" who wants many many babies. At least you will have some tax deductions and have someone call you "Honey or Daddy" with love before sucking you dry (I do not mean this in a sexual context, but sometimes you get a bonus.) RL.

Its strange becasue recentely Ive had so many messages from subs/slaves asking if they can send me money or if I will blackmail them

Not my bag at all. I think money issues are on all sides of the fence. Ive beeen with my boy for a year and a half and whilst I will let him pay for a meal sometimes we usually go dutch. I dont ask him for money and would feel really weird about it if I had to, so the the idea of asking someone I didnt know for any would be so strange.

You're fine. You strike me as an intelligent fellow with a good heart. I'm really not too sure what the environment is like for male sub's out there; many Domme's have gotten used to living off their slaves. Still, I like to think that there's even more who haven't. Regardless of the situation, I hope this works out for you.

I'd like to point out two things.
-Submissive people in this lifestyle are seen by many predators as easy game, for anything from sex (typically males who exploit this) to money (typically females who explot this). Domme's are far more likely to ask for your money than Dom's would from a female sub. It's often justified as a kink. Many suspect it's old fashion prostitution. But, kinks are like religion in US law.. if someone claims it's one, you "have" to respect it.
-As a Dom, I've often supported my sub's.

It seems to me that it's still the classic man-is-the-bread-winner sort of scenerio in many cases.

Not to her, apparently. But, there are plenty who do not require tribute. If you find a picture that you like, read her profile, too. Pretty soon, you'll get a feel for who does and who doesn't want tribute.
