NakedOnMyChain -> RE: Tributes??? (9/16/2005 1:30:37 PM)

I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting a tribute, as long as this stipulation is clear from the beginning. I think those that expect monetary payment for their services should classify themselves as professional dom/mes, but to each their own. I wonder how much of a riot I would cause if I started expecting payment for my services as sub. Surely there would be a revolt of some kind, even if it only involved someone flinging macaroni in my face at the dinner table. (I get the feeling the hubby wouldn't like it). [:D]

That is classic! And classy, too. I am glad I didn't miss that post - it is little things like that which lighten the evening.

I could see that being better, but down here in Lower Alabama baguettes are almost impossible to get, and I haven't baked bread since I was 19!! [:D]

MsIce -> Consider this (9/16/2005 6:13:14 PM)

In my opinion I believe the thing that drives many Dominant males is the fact that they believe, rightly or wrongly, that being dominant will allow them to have LOTS of sex, kinky or otherwise.
For Fem Domme sex is usually not the all consuming reason to Dominate.
However, there are many many submissive men out there who would like to be dominanted by a powerful woman.
The dominant is often expected to provide the venue and all the equipment - as you may or may not be aware this is all very expensive gear
Then there is the time factor - a good session would not be shy of 1.5 to 2 hours, then there is dress up and dress down time, clean up time. All in all a lot of time to be spent on one person who may or may not become ones submissive on a more permanent basis
When you think about that you may begin to see a value to a professional woman

*Raises hands!* Can I be included in the French lessons? As for the cooking lessons, I'll pass, and would prefer a link to where I can buy baguettes, since I don't like to cook.[8D] M

M, you need to be careful, LA already stated on another thread she teaches French with cane in hand![:)] I'm gonna bring my pet to take my strokes when I make a mistake. Shoot, I like ya girl! If you don't want to take your strokes, or bring a boy to take yours, I will be happy to let my pet take yours too!!![;)] OOO lala, who knew French lessons could be so fun!!!

I definitely missed that (with cane in hand) from the French Teacher, lol. I don't do pain at all, so would definitely need a volunteer to take my strokes...
These lessons would be the most fun lessons I've ever sat through. M

Just letting ya know in advance , if you don't find a volunteer, you can use my pet! I wouldn't offer for just anybody, but you are one of the Ladies I think a lot of on these boards, so for this particular occasion, "ce qui est le mien est à vous à employer comme vous souhaitez"[:D]
(Closest I could come being such a newbie on translation, smiles)

LadyAngelika -> RE: Tributes??? (9/17/2005 7:12:20 AM)

Why do I get the distinct feeling that I'll have a line up of giggling Dommes with nervous subs outside my front door... <grins and runs off to buy more chalk>.

Very close!!

Ce qui est à moi - for an object
Celui qui est le mien - for a person

comme vous le souhaitez

Though it would be grammatically correct, it would sound awkward as most direct translations do. I'd say rather:

Vous êtes la bienvenue à employer le mien comme vous le souhaitez!

You are welcomed to use mine as you wish.

<edit> If you were addressing a man you would say
Vous êtes le bienvenue à employer le mien comme vous le souhaitez!
unless of course you are feminizing him! ;-)

And if your the person you are lending out is a woman, you would say
Vous êtes la bienvenue à employer la mienne comme vous le souhaitez!
</edit>

See? Easy as pie!

- LA

Nervous, hell, I would think more scared to death, smiles. What a mental picture the above descriptions evokes, lol. One request though LA, I'm sure the subs will learn at least a little of what you are teaching the dommes. When teaching the French equivalents of certain terms, could you make sure the subs learn the correct pronunciation of domme, so they don't wind up in French pronouncing it similar to "dommay"? [;)]

kc692 -> RE: Tributes??? (9/17/2005 7:27:26 AM)

I knew it wasn't quite right as it loosely originally came out as "what is mine is with you to employ as you wish" , but , that is what the lessons are for!! Thank you!!! M, are you paying attetion??[8|]

Yes, I definitely am beginning to envision boys getting bruised, so far it sounds a tad complicated. [&o]M

Wherever there is a demand, and an economic benefit to satisfying it, there will always be those willing to do so. Our little experiments with prohibitioin of various kinds (drugs, alcohol, prostitution, gambling) should have taught us that, but we, as a society, are pretty hard-headed. If there are men out there willing to (or susceptable to being pursuaded to) send money to a woman that they have never, and probably will never meet, there will, I assure you, be women (or men willing to pose as women) who are willing to take their money.

Well stated. Tributes have no place in my relationships, but there are plenty of dominants and submissives who choose to interact in that manner. If one is persistent, one will get past the profiles that don't exhibit what he or she seeks.

Be well,
Julie

Don't think like[&o]. Think about the line of subs, and all of Us having a good time with LA having fun too!! I think those boys would love it...matter of fact, I wouldn't be suprised if they start mailing you with applications, lol. LA, to get back on thread topic, I forgot to ask.....will you be requiring specific tribute, or are we free to tribute you with whatever we would like?[:D] I know you don't require tribute, but , I for one would be happy to give you some!!!

Why yes I would be requiring tribute this time; I think the boys should bring the baguettes, brie and the wine so we can have something to do while they suffer for us. M
