ERRRM... *Thinks about this for a sec*

All i can say is.. if i wanted to leave a place broke and with a hardon (pardon the crudity) id go to a strip club.. .but.. since strip clubs are not my thing.. i just sit back and laugh at some of these so called "Dominants"

Just seems to me that labeling yourself "Dominant" is being used more and more loosely, directly impacting the legitimate Domina's out there that ARE seeking servitude, or a 24/7, or whatever else it is that their seeking...

HI BP,

No flack here.

But please keep in mind that many female Dominants are also pro's. Demanding "tribute" may be a way of saying - "$250 for a session, monkey boy, pay it or go elsewhere." And from what I understand, $250 a session from a top flight pro would be on the cheap end of the spectrum.

I don't know if any of the Ladies responding here are pro's or not, I certainly don't have any beef with them if they are.... *grins* I just want to know how I can go about becoming a Professional Dominant... Lordy, if I could get $250 a session, I'd do 4 a week and retire from really working!!! *lol*

YIK,
- Geoff

Hey I was chatting/talking with someone from Kansas who's been doing wiitwd many years longer than I, and he insisted fem doms are Dommays, so I instructed him to call me my name or Ms because Dommays feels like fingernails on chalkboard for me to hear. M

And, with a pro, as with a non-pro you might not even be allowed release!!

Ks -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 3:05:55 PM)

i am surprised this is becoming a common thing.

i am not allowed to give anything but myself, that is all and it is enough. and more than enough.

Sdarcy -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 3:22:14 PM)

I've read through this thread and couldn't help but notice that while there are some thoughtful replies to the original query as well as some harsh and judgemental posts - no-one has spoken to a prodomme, nor has one replied before me. How can one possibly offer judgement on a person or a career regarding which your experience is from the stands? I have no more right to pass judgement on engineers, or school teachers.

I have been a prodomme for fifteen years. I do professional domination - this is not the same thing as personal domination. I provide a service for compensation. If there were no market, I would have no clientele! Gentlemen come to see me because they want a beautiful woman to perform complicated bondage, or whipping, or perhaps they're new to the scene and want to explore their fantasies without risking exposure, or personal injury. They want good equipment, safe surroundings, an element of theater. As a prodomme, my reputation is easily researched - how does one find out about Mistress XYZ from your local munch?

And yes, this is my personal life as well. When I run into someone with whom I click on a personal basis, I switch them to a barter arrangement or on rare occasions I accept them as a personal submissive. Yes, I expect my time and skills to be compensated - why is that a problem for some people? This is my profession, I've spent countless hours honing my skills, and I'm damned good at what I do. If someone benefits from my time and energy, it's only fair that I benefit from theirs. I am fortunate in being able to build a career that I love - I do not apologize for what I do, nor do I take seriously sneers from someone who's never asked for clarification.

Respectfully,

Ms. Susanne

nella -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 3:30:41 PM)

i totaly agree Sdarcy why is it such that if a woman is good at making little garden decorations, computer programs or whatever, it is okey for her to sell it, but not if she is good at being a Domme?

The problem here in this tread however is that i dont think we are discussing pro`s we are discussing private Domme`s that require tribute, and realy i see no problem whit that either, if that is her fantasy, or if she is just out to make a buck, what is a the problem, if she make it so clearly as to write it in her profile she is not trying to fool anyone, then you either say, yes i like this i want to do this or you leve her alone and go find somone else. It seam somtimes, and i mean not disrespect, truly i dont, that some submissive men seam to think that it is the duty of the Dominate females to deliver to their needs, it is not pepole.

GoddessDustyGold -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 3:57:17 PM)

Ms. Susanne,
I, and others, have answered this question (or complaint or whine) ad nauseum. There are at least three or four similar threads begun every month. As often as We try to make the distinction, there are always more boys who are frustrated and get bent out of shape over this. And there are those who will never accept the positive aspects of Pro Domination.
Thank you for posting so well, and welcome to the boards!

Domme4u2worship -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 3:58:48 PM)

when is a tribute just a tribute and not money....well everyone interpretation is their own, but it does lend a whole new meaning to the hymn.."praise my soul the king of heaven..to his feet thy tributes bring"....surely it means gifts, trinkets, flowers, wine etc ???
Yes i have the word tributes in my profile for a good reason, it helps keep away the alleged subs who think they will get free meals, free accomodation and god knows what else just because they serve me and YES there are many of them out there, i got sick and tired of them, so made what i want crystal clear. I certainly wouldnt want money from them though, i work hard and earn my own.

nella -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 3:59:31 PM)

Oh you are new here, i did not see that. Welcome Sdarcy, this is a nice forum, feel like home.

Sdarcy -> RE: Tributes??? (9/18/2005 5:36:59 PM)

LOL! I've actually answered it myself a few hundred times <g>. As often as I promise myself I'll just let it pass the next time - once in a while I can't resist trying to sow a little balance. I like this site - there's not the adversarial tone one finds elsewhere, and people seem more down to earth. Thank you so much for your cordial greetings to all, and I look forward to many interesting conversations.

Best,

Ms. Susanne

Actually, Dusty has. And even us non-prodommes tend to support the women who have decided to make a career out of this. I think you will find that very few Dommes on this site have ever spoken against prodommes. The overwhelming majority of us send tons of guys who want one-off fantasies fulfilled to you ;-)

Exactly. Thankyou for agreeing with me.
