I'm always amazed by people who feel the need to respond to threads like this in negative ways, e.g. "Me don't like fat peeples".

Why on earth would someone be so eager to trumpet their limitations as a human being?

And what in the world makes you think anyone who doesn't share your limitations wants to hear about them?

never go to bdsm parties or other kinky gatherings where all walks of humans are allowed nude, even the fat and wear blinders that should solve the seeing fat people naked problem:D

i don't think it's a limitation per say not to like fat people, , just a preferances and their right to have one, however I do agree, they do not have to go spweing their preferance all over any one who'll listen.

Gaining weight was really traumatic for me.

I'm 5'3 and sitting at 150 pounds, with 165 being my heaviest. I used to be 118 to 120 pounds. Used to be a burlesque performer, pinup girl... god, I was hot.

Then I got insecure, made some bad choices in my dieting (read as: starvation) and screwed up my metabolism and the rest of my body.

Curves rock... I'd just like mine to be a little more hourglass and a little less Michelin man. -_-

Having a physical "type" that you are unable to transcend for the sake of deeper attraction to the inner person seems like a pretty serious limitation to me. But really, it's the context for the discussion that defines the difference between a "preference" and a "limitation".

"Preferences" are about saying "yes, yes please!"

Whereas "limitations" are about saying "no thank you".

Chiming into a thread like this with a negative remark is NOT a positive way of expressing your preference--it's about yelling "no". Even when no one asked ya!

It's as silly as chiming into a thread about music with an attitude of moral superiority because you're tone deaf.

I just don't get why people think their limitations are so fascinating.

I have been a size 4 and a size 24. I've gained and lost enough weight to populate a third world country over my lifetime. And you know what... I always felt good about myself, because the me is inside, not the shell. Right now I'm a 16 and very comfortable with it. But, I learned a long time there's a reason that human being have heads that sit on necks that turn. If you don't like looking at someone... turn your hear and look in another direction. The old joke that goes... I might be fat, but, I can diet and get thin... you'll always be ugly! is right on the mark. Anyone who is ignorant enough to make an issue about someone elses weight should understand that being stupid isn't their crime... it's advertising it that makes it a felony.

I think it's more that we're offended that you came into a thread celebrating larger women to tell us that you think we are all ugly. Keep your opinions to yourself, or find one of the 1000s of threads started by guys with the same opinion as you.

I am not tiny. I used to be, at 5'6 weighed 98 lbs after delivering my first son. 122 lbs for the lovely age of 20+ and a topless dancer for a couple of years. Did college, and headed for corporate work. Hit 30 and started gaining, slowly, thanks to grabbing meals on the run (fast food) and lack of exercise time (50-60 hour work weeks plus kids to raise). The 40's did me in as thanks to a year long course of steroids to help me breathe, I had the appetite of the Green Bay Packers after a game. 275 Lbs, Diabetes, COPD, Cataracts, PVC's and all the other joys of carrying way too much weight and being too ill to exercise vigorusly.

I am currently 175 lbs and likely to stay there unless I manage to collar a submissive who is also a plastic surgeon and gifts me with liposuction for that well earned 8lb dunlop that never wants to leave. This is me, love me or not, not gonna get much smaller, may get more toned, working on it. I eat 4 small (and I do mean small) controlled meals a day to keep my blood sugars under control. I have more pills than I ever wanted to swallow, a dead thyroid (it was hyper), insulin pump and take symlin to supplement that. But, for all that I am:

Re: A little extra weight and how we feel about it:
I've been a dancer all of my life and when I am in good shape I feel sexy and inspired. My creative mind-set gets fired up easily anyway...however I love to feel sexy.
I am working on getting back in shape and have a plan, and wish my body toned up as fast as it used to.

Don't most of us feel that way? I have worked on acceptance, and I know what turns me on, and want to be that kind of partner for my #1 hubby-wife (whenever that happens) and for my lover. Mostly though, it is for myself. It makes me feel good to work out in whatever ways I can.

Above Najekcharmer posted about lifting, and resistance training balanced with diet was ideal, and how cardio wasn't as important as we all thought it was for losing weight. She is so right-on! Glad she shared it...

The dream for the 'passing' I saw above for Wicca: Lovely. Mine would be very similar and we would be relaxing near Mother Ocean listening to the surf bounce off of the rocks. We'd be kissed by the cool fragrant spray....... Blue skies, birds, and dolphins. MMm.... Sounds really nice.

This was a great read this morning. Thanks Ladies.

I have been a large woman for most of my life. When I was younger I played into the notion that "fat ain't sexy" Since I have matured, I have found out that many men and women think I am very sexy and desireable. I have been told I am beautiful and carry an "air of sensuality and sexuality" with me. I am a confident, intelligent, beautiful woman. If you don't like how I look, what I think or believe in...you don't have to look at me, listen to me or talk to me. It is not my loss at all.

I'm over six feet tall, so I too am a large woman. However, I'm only large along the vertical axis.
