I met my Master/husband walking my dog in the park blocks of downtown Portland. I swear it was just like a movies I needed a lighter to light my cigerette and I was fumbling through my purse and down the street I see this gorgeous guy with his german good looks lighting a lighter just for me. So I go other there and and my dog intangles me and him in the leash I know how funny. We talk for hours that day in the park until he had to go to PGE park for Thirsty Thursdays. That night he calls to tell me sweet dreams and we have been together and married almost 6 years now.I think it was luck how we met, but it is design and hard work that keeps us together.

So how often do you think that good relationships are sheer dumb luck and how often do you think that they are by design and by hard work and clear heads?

Meeting the right person is dumb luck more often than not. Both my boys were completely chance theres no reason I should know these people meetings. I have heard several times from lifestylers and vanillas that I "do pretty good" picking a partner, but in all honesty I dont really PICK them. They kinda fall in my lap.
Now, keeping a relationship good takes hard work. IT takes commitment to communication and thinking of someone other than yourself all the time. I just notice that in a GOOD pairing, like mine, thats a lot easier than when you have to go out of your way to think that way.

Meeting someone good can be sheer luck. Mantaining a good relationship with them takes work. Enjoyable work, but still work.

To find it, a mixture of dumb luck and networking. To keep it, mutual labor and desire.

Good relationships always seem to come along when you aren't looking or thinking about it.  Keeping them up is hard work and forever thinking.  After a year of endless emailing, what seemed like everyday meets and dines, I met my Sir on this site - decided not to do the usual forever email, get into your brain kind of stuff, ended up being instant Karma.  Now is the hard part...........
