I am not a religious person. But it my observation that people might still attend a church while not believing or agreeing with everything coming down from the pulpit. For example, many catholics might practice birth control even though the pope tells them not to. I'm sorry, but a rational fair-minded person sees this kind of attempt to defame Obama for the crap that it is. You can't hold person A responsible for what person B says or does. And even if you had that tendency, Christian Republicans have certainly cut folks like 700 Club's Pat Robertson plenty of slack over the years. I recall Robertson saying San Francisco should be attacked by terrorists because of the gay people that lived there. No one had to answer for it then and they don't have to now either.

Did no one else hear Obama dismiss these remarks by implying that we all have "old uncles" prone to saying outragous things.Personally i don't have one ,but if i did i do believe i would keep my children away from him,for fear his distasteful beliefs would rub off on them.Yet Obama refuses to repudiate this man and his views instead he makes feeble attempts to rationalize and make light of what in any context are disturbing viewpoints....sorry if my original post was confusing
