ORIGINAL: sirsholly wondering...in all seriousness... Rain and Cali, were you diagnosed with diabetes while you were pregnant? The same hypoglycemic crap happens to me but is much worse since i had diabetes wien i was expecting. I was told diabetes was likely eventually... [&o] Diabetes is not a question of "if" for me but "when".... I've been borderline for years and years and there is such a shitload of history of it in my families. That's why I'm so careful, so that I don't go over that border and end up on insulin. I have a meter and tested myself. It was low, so low that I'm kinda wondering what it was before I ate. And why didn't I pass out? Yes, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, holly. However, it's not just a large baby thing. My first son was 8 lbs 12 ozs without a single problem yet my second son (monster #3) where I was diagnosed with it was only 7 lbs 11 ozs. And no, I didn't take insulin, much, during that pregnancy. I was planning on a homebirth and was working with my midwife....
