Nobody remembers the colloquial term for the ant lion? 'round these parts, a doodlebug is is a "cute" (and I use that very loosely) critter with pretty much no bewbage at all.
It digs conical holes in the sand and waits for unsuspecting passersby to fall into its gaping maw.
When I was a kid, my crazy mom taught us to poke at the doodlebug holes with a straw and sing, "Doodlebug, doodlebug, come to me, before I drink all your coffee up."
I hated that rhyme, mostly because it ended in a preposition and didn't rhyme. hrmph. Never did know why I wanted to get one of those nasty little fellas out of the sand, anyway. Moms. They're like that, I guess.
But I'm over all that, now that I can think of a doodlebug as Christine's vagina. I doubt Mom would approve, but I'm over that, too.

that reminds me of a Joke of mine..
This Southern Belle was hosting a dinner party, and some people she did not reconize were introduced to her. After learning thier names.. she asked " Where ya'll from?" The wife of the couple snidely replied " Where we do not end our sentances with prepositions" the Southern Belle was taken back by the ladies rudeness and replied "Where ya'll from Bitch?"
