Our sweet Christine is fine, but with the holidays and all, she really wanted some down time, away from the boards, the site, and the computer.  She's juggling many balls right now with job prospects, her Things, and trying to enjoy the holidays.  She and I stay in touch frequently, and she sends her warm fuzzies to her friends here.  I will pass along messages to her when we talk.  Right now, she just needs some down time to focus on other things in her life that need attention - nothing bad - just stuff that she can't take care of if she's sitting in front of the computer. 

Most of you know that she and I keep in touch, since she's my cavebabe and all - lol, so as I get more news to share, I'll pass it along.

Status: offline 		Just wanted to touch base real quick and say thank you so much to all of you caring people in here.  I am over my woe is me party and ready to kick some butt with my wonderfulness.

hmmmm ... to stay on topic .... I really dislike it when I throw out voting papers because I thought they were junk mail and had to find the council offices after work tonight to do a last minute vote.

Red please say hi to Christine and ask since she doesn't have her profile up for us to perve could she just send us all some of her photos (honestly, I only looked at it so much because I wanted to reread what she wrote)

One is "I hate it when I'm away from my family for the first time and can't cook our traditional family dinner for Thanksgiving" or lessee....... Status: offline 		I hate it that I cannot gather all of our friends on CM together in one big dinning room to laugh, eat, cry and hug. I hate that I don't have a house big enough or money enough to do such a thing.
I hate that so many dread the visit to the family, or that they have to be away from theirs.
I hate that neither of my sons can be here...and that Sambas Um cannot be with her.
I hate that my M-I-L's first reaction to her gift last night and the turkey we brought to celebrate her b'day was greeted with you shouldn't have done this, I can't afford to do anything for you this year since my job is going away in May. Can't she accept that we do things out of love, not in search of reciprocation? can't she accept that her Son is old enough, responsible enough and wise enough to spend only what we can afford? That he is not her daughters always coming to her for money ( he never has) or support ( one never left home, but instead had her child there and grandma and pa take care of them both), but a grown man and awalys responsible and thoughtful in his actions.

If you don't want to fist the bird and make it cough up it's treasure..wait until you serve it and make a game of it. The person who finds the ring gets a prize. A trinket for a trinket so to speak.  They used to hide a coin in plum pudding and the person who found it in their slice would have good luck the rest of the year was the legend.

Linnea...this I suspect may have been the one time Spike the Wonder dog could not resist following his nose..all those smells..all that food cooking...I am so glad he came home. Oddly enough they usually do, they follow the trail they leave behind them as they mark every tree on the path. Komodo and Ebony will occasionally escape..Komodo more than anything so he can go return the favor to those who mark his fence line..I can hunt high and low and not find him, only to find him sitting sheepishly and apologetic on the porch a couple of hours later. The bad part I am afraid he will eat a pitbull or two on the way . Sigh. He is smart about cars though and waits until he doesn't hear one coming.

Red sorry about the Thanksgiving fairies not showing up. They didn't show up here either. I am trying hard to find the top of my table and counters so I can move food as it hits and comes out of the oven.

poenkitten wishing Greedy was here so she could put some meat on her bones...
